I think last year some bought for dogs - some for people - and some for both I like the bring a plate idea and people seem equally divided on it - perhaps if people want to bring bbq meat they also bring someone to cook it And we will start at 1.00 because that was the most popualr time (just) Ok We have 1.00 start Bring a plate of food SS's are Miss Squish KelpieHoundMum Ker Tokkie Bully whiskedaway Justice Shades Mrs Rusty Bucket sparkycat
  4. I was with Petplan bit changed to PIA when we got our Bloodhound as he was not listed on their restricted breed list but I was told that he was on the list?? They were a bit dismissive and I wasn't happy with that. i am about to make my first claim with PIA so hoping it goes through easily - we have a $250 excess
  5. What gorgeous shots Lisa - you all (the 5 of you) look so happy WOuld love the address of this place as it looks beautiful
  6. I have a purple kelpie size one that I never use - I am happy to post it to you
  7. It was when he went "Mousie go for a swim" that cracked me up
  8. Have sent a link to my brother who is a Boxer enthusiast Thanks Jed
  9. Yes we do - think he might just live out the rest of his life in it
  10. Ok - anyone want a Bloodhound??? While we were slaving our guts out putting the new mulch over the river stones so that Earl wouldn't eat any more we put the dogs in the house - the mulch was in the front yard - we were putting it in the back yard - both roller doors were open - saw Earl chewing on something and went in to find a glass candle holder - minus a piece of the glass He was lying on the furry rug surrounded by dog toys - we searched and searched but could not find the piece of glass - no cuts in his mouth but given he has just had surgery for the river stone removal .....what could we do? So - back off to the vet we went - after having taken him in for a check up this morning - and at the moment he is sedated for xray and I am waiting for a call to see if he - yet again - needs to go under the knife ETA - vet just rang - Xray didn't show anything so he is to come home and be monitored here - he will have stomach protectants to take - luckily he is already on the Hills ID
  11. Maybe we can come and party at your work? Might do a poll and see what turns up - can you tell I'm on holidays I have far too much spare time
  12. Ralph does the BEST kangaroo impression I have ever seen - going to be a bugger to rehome though
  13. Will give them a ring tomorrow and check it out. If the boofer starts eating the mulch then pea straw will be the next step
  14. MAybe we need to wrap he and Yogi up in bubble wrap before we let them loose at the next DOL meet Hope Yogis recovery is going well - hugs to him (and you)
  15. It was called Landscape Mulch so I assume it is used fairly regularly - the big goof ball is much better today thanks - drooling and snoring to his best efforts He is going for a check at the vet tomorrow just to make sure all is well :D
  16. We went up to the garden place and checked it all out - decided on a nice dark brown mulch that has no large chunks - going to cover the stones with chicken wire and weed mat and then put the mulch on top - should have taken Earl with us to see which one he found least palatable
  17. We have PIA and are about to make our first claim - it was great peace of mind to be able to say to the vet "Go ahead and do what you need to " when Earl got a stone stuck in his intestines on the Sunday of the long weekend without going at the quoted price. We were with Petplan but I changed as they tried to say Bloodhounds were in their restricted breed list when I had checked several times and they weren't - it had an impact on the ammount they covered after a certain age
  18. !!!Absolutely - I am happy to organise to deliver yours to your SS and pick yours up from them The doggies might Miss Squish KelpieHoundMum Ker Tokkie Bully whiskedaway Justice Shades
  19. Bummer about that Sorry I thought later might have been better for you - what time do you start?
  20. I did notice that in the photos - one of the other dogs must have been channelling Earl That seems to be the general consensus He is a bit quieter than usual but that is totally understandable - fortunately he doesn't need a bucket on his head this time but we are going to book him into the vets for day boarding when we all go out on Friday and make sure he has supervision at all other times - just in case He is on Hills ID for a few days and will then transition him back on to his normal food - at least he did it in the holidays when someone is at home all of the time
  21. Well- Earl is home now and feeling a bit sad and sorry for himself - but he is fine and has recovered well - bland diet for a while and keeping quiet for a couple of weeks - thank you for everyones well wishes OH is out the back preparing to move the riverstones
  22. Could do it later in the day maybe - about 3.30 or so for tea? What do people think?
  23. OK - decided to get this up and running while I have time (Love those holidays :p ) As we did last year if that is OK Please add your name to the list if you would like to be involved - will close list about 2 weeks before the meet and give out SS names to people - people then have 2 weeks to buy for their SS's and we can exchange gifts on the day.... ...sound OK? Anyway - I'm in ;) Kelpiehoundmum
