  1. The park is on the left if you are coming along the street from the Eastern end - there is parking next to the actual park and a playground in the park If you look up main street eastwood on google maps you can get a street view
  2. We have the Aussie dog tucker ball and a staffy ball - very resilient although ours are supervised play only - but that is just because the kelpie barks constantly while she plays with them - not for any safety reason Here's the link Aussiedog balls
  3. Damn - I can chip in for a couple of days boarding if that helps

  12. I have a sister who lied to a beagle breeder, assuring her that she would show the pup - who was a lovely example of the breed - and had the absolute BEST temperament I have ever seen on a dog - she had no intentions of anything but having him as a pet and had him desexed asap

  14. I'm with you there for your first choices EtH - my next will be a Lappie - although I dearly love the Blue Merle Aussie Shepherds. And a rescue grey is right up there for us too I have incredibly contrasting dogs ATM - a kelpie and a bloodhound - lovely dogs but I want a fluffy, snuggly dog next (yes I know greys aren't fluffy but i just have such a soft spot for them) - and one I can take time with because the kids will be older - and I am confident that a reputable breeder will be able to choose the perfect pup for us when the time comes
  15. Our Bloodhound was supposed to be my OHs dog - he has loved the breed for a long time - but I researched breeders etc and worked with the breeder we chose to make sure we got a pup that was the best fot for our family - OH loves the big boofer but I end up being the one that walks / feeds / socialises him so that is it - he has had his choice - next dog I choose although I have been told it is not allowed to be a smaller size than our kelpie
  16. When we took our old staffy x they put a line into his veins and the fluid went into that - they took him out the back to put the line in and when they injected into it when they brought him back he just slept away peacefully - he was very old and they said his veins weren't good I am so sorry to hear of your friends awful experience - it is never easy to give them their wings ETA - lucknow - that sounds like what they did with our boy
  17. Gone to find where your Mum is sitting now so she can sit under her chair Run free girl
  18. We crate our 2 in the bedroom at night - zipped in - the kelpie had no probs and with the hound we started by opening the side and putting his bedding in there - then having the front open with his bedding in there and finally zipping it up - they each get a dog biscuit when they go in there and they run for their crates each night - they also have a special chewy toy each that is only kept in their crate.
  19. I remember a woman at football telling another woman who had a BC pup to breed her to get her money back - and telling her about her French Mastiff they were going to breed with a Mastiff x because the pups would be just about pure bred.
  20. These are rescue dogs I think - not Vics
