T, sorry to hear that Mia didn't make it. Maybe it's like Hesapandabear suggested, and it was a case of mother knows best. Probably not much comfort at the moment though. Hopefully things will improve.

Congratulations piper

Sorry that things are still so up in the air. Really hope Lele settles and that the pups are ok.

Even though she is producing plenty of milk she could still have a calcium deficiency. Just I know it can cause mother dogs to lose interest in nursing and can even cause them to act aggessivley towards the pups. Plus I remember you mentioning (in your pm) about her panting a lot and that can be another symptom. I didn't click when you originally mentioned the panting, but when you also talk about the not feeding the pups as well, it kind of adds up. Maybe just check with your vet if it could be a possibility

Oh no ... that's terrible news. So sorry to hear that you lost a pup I actually sent you a private message before I read this thread, so at that stage I thought all the pups were still ok ... so it's sad to hear that they aren't. Did you give her calcium during the birth? Still supplementing her with it? Maybe try sitting beside the whelping box with her, with her outside the box with you, and just stroke her and talk to her gently to try and make her relax whilst in close proximity to the pups. I really don't know. Dani freaked out when she first gave birth and wouldn't go near her pups while she was still whelping, and I was worried she was rejecting them, but once birthing was finished, she was fine. Have you taken Lele to the vet? She doesn't have any pups still inside does she? I hope everything improves and that the pups hang in there.

I'm adding a big NOOOOOO to letting this person use your male again. When a female dog is pregnant you do whatever you have to do to ensure she has a safe and healthy pregnancy and then you make sure she is set up for labour in a warm, comfortable, safe place to give birth. How is she supposed to move around properly and do what she needs to do whilst giving birth if she is chained up? Poor mum and bubs

Thats fantastic news about the puppies Cavalblaze And good luck with visit to vet

Oooh so exciting. Can't wait to hear all about it. Hope she has a stress free labour

No, I haven't. But what's it about? Some kind of scam or chain letter or something?

Advice Needed Please...puppy Apparently Dead After Illness...

Sounds very dodgy to me. I would just reimburse him for the cost of the papers. Do not give him the papers, as it sounds like he is up to something. The fact that he made threats to you shows what kind of person he is. Make sure you notify the police if you have to. -
I would love to get photos and emails updating me on any of my puppies progress. In fact, I will probably ask the new owners if they could send me something occassionally.

Awwww cool :D They look great ... nice and healthy

Oh my gosh Jazzie, sincerest condolences on the loss of your mum. I hope your little girl and your dad have a quick recovery from their injuries. What a horrible thing for you to have to go through, I hope you are holding up ok. More love and prayers to Jed. And very big thumbs up to all DOLers (and others) who are devoting so much of their time etc to helping out. You are all stars -
Wow snag, I didn't realise that this was your first litter. I only just got in before you with my first Wishing you heaps of luck for a smooth pregnancy and whelping

So sorry to hear about TBCSITW ... just heartbreaking All we can hope for is that Magnus and the others passed peacefully. Hopefully they were not even aware of what was going on and simply went to sleep. RIP to all of these beloved pets. Run free always. Love and prayers to Jane for a full recovery. -

Let's keep hoping that Magnus is found. It could take a few days as he is probably pretty freaked out and laying low, but I'm sure somebody will come across him, and either take him in themselves or take him to an animal shelter. So, excellent work DOLers for getting posters and stuff out in the public eye. That is what is needed .... to make sure people are aware that he is missing, so that they keep an eye out. So glad to hear that Jed is doing better. Sending bucketloads of warm wishes her way  -

I actually posted the following as my FB status, just in case any of my friends are around the Caboolture area - "Can anybody in the Bellmere, Caboolture area please keep an eye out for a golden coloured male cocker spaniel. He is believed to have gone missing during the chaos of the big house fire down there, and it would mean the world to his owner to get him back" -

OMG what horrible, horrible news Poor Jed. I will definitely be adding my thoughts and prayers to the many already being sent your way. Please get better soon. It is obvious how loved you are by everybody on here. RIP to the darlings that crossed the rainbow bridge. And kudos to all the people, Julie, MDBA, Steve and anybody else who has started the ball rolling in getting donations, arranging burials, and organising people to look after Jed's beloved dogs and horses. You people are all incredible -
Wow .... look at all those puppies. Congrats Ashanali :D
-
Congrats!! Are u going to show any of the puppies... Looks as tho theres some nice ones there!! No snag, I still can't bring myself to go back to showing. I think there is one male in there that is possibly show quality (and maybe one of the females) but no .... if they are going to be shown it will have to be by somebody else besides me However I am keeping one of the females
-
Aww ... they are GORGEOUS I have posted photos of our litter on my webpage. I can't post them on here coz there is something wrong with our network and I can't get them off hubby's computer
-
Congrats Darkrai ... I think my favourite is the black one :D But wow, I can see why people sometimes need whelping ID collars. My lot are easier coz I can identify them by their markings And congrats Kanati, sounds like a gorgeous litter I actually thought your girl might have had more, she looked like she was gonna have eight at least
-
Well I really have to get some sleep, but look forward to checking up on the status of your litter tomorrow
-
Congrats Elkie And yay Kanati. I've been waiting to hear how your girl goes ever since I was impressed by the size of her belly in the photo you posted lol
