My last litter was an elective c-section. The pups were raised in the spare bedroom, I slept in the bedroom next to it for 3 weeks, I actually slept with my head at the foot of the bed so I could hear any noise (I am a light sleeper). The pups stayed in there at night till they were six weeks old then were moved to the stables where it is nice and warm. During the day they were in the puppy run which is grassed and has an undercover area.

I have just purchased a dog coat from PetFood 24/7 and have just today received some very bad reports re getting ones goods. Has anyone used them and had trouble? Or have they been fine with their deliveries.

I have 4 bitches who run together, some entire and some not. Not had a problem yet, their ages range from 7 down to 8 months.

My dogs were given a dried marrow bone last year and I had to take it off them as they splintered

I put Delete in with the washing powder, kills bugs and smells nice too

I would dearly love to take mine to work but a Rottweiler in a chocolate factory would not go down at all. Dogs are not even allowed in the carpark.

If the bitch is left with me then I will mate them everyday the bitch is standing. If the people bring the bitch up then it is usually two a day apart. Some people want more so they get it. It does not hurt the dog or the bitch.

I think my best effort and one that I will forever feel guilty about is, I gave all the dogs a marrow bone and they were happily chewing that. We also had free range chooks. To cut a long story short, we had to go out, called dogs but 1 did not come, so I went to find her, here she is guarding a mound of dirt that had chook feathers sticking out of it. Gave her a good ticking off for killing a chook. Next day went to retrieve the dead chook and bury it only to find it was her marrow bone buried there with a couple of loose chook feathers. Talk about feeling guilty. I kissed, cuddled and said sorry so many times to her. She forgave me as soon as she was allowed to have her bone back. Edited because people are offended about a Rottweiler being mistreated. Those who know me and know my dogs, know they are loved and not mistreated at all. Also all of my dogs are well behaved in public. Silly how I feel I have to defend myself isn't it?

We have a Nissan Navara and a van. The back seat has been removed in the Navara and a carpeted platform has been put in its' place, the back has a canopy with a removable dog divider. A brilliant dog car. The van has a removable back bench seat and has been professionally carpeted with marine carpet, another good dog car. We also have a 4 berth dog trailer. Very happy with our combo of vehicles.

<H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">CHICKEN AND AVOCADO PARCELS</H1> <H2 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Puff Pastry – 1 sheet per person</H2>1 Avocado (mashed) 1pkt of cheese sauce (sachet) made up white wine (optional) 100 – 150gms shaved ham – chopped 400 – 500gms chicken fillets (sliced) 100gms semi dried tomatoes (cut in half) Pan fry sliced chicken fillets until brown. Add cheese sauce (make sure it is made thicker than packet directions) If the sauce is still quite runny then thicken with cornflour. Add semi dried tomatoes and ham and mix together. Lay out pastry and spoon mixture into centre. Fold pastry to make parcels and bake for approx 15 mins @ 200 C or until browned. Can be served on a bed of roasted sweet potato mashed with cheese sauce. CARROT AND DATE LOAF <H1 style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">1 CUP OF DATES CHOPPED</H1>1 CUP WATER ½ CUP BROWN SUGAR 1 TEASPOON BICARB 1 CUP GRATED CARROT 1 ½ CUPS WHOLEMEAL SELF RAISING FLOUR ½ CUP WALNUTS ½ TEASPOON GROUND CINNAMON ½ TEASPOON NUTMEG PLACE DATES, WATER, SUGAR AND BICARB IN A SAUCEPAN, BRING TO BOIL, SIMMER 5 MINUTES. COOL. PREHEAT OVEN TO 180c OR 350F. ADD CARROT, FLOUR, WALNUTS AND SPICES, STIRRING WELL. SPOON INTO MUFFIN TIN AND BAKE UNTIL COOKED. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!! and one for the doggies. LIVER BREAD Ingredients Puree in blender: 500 g raw liver (any kind including chicken) 3 eggs 3tbs golden syrup garlic Dry ingredients 2.5 cups wholemeal SR flour or white SR flour. Mix dry ingredients together then add the blended mixture. Mix together, add water if required. Spread onto baking sheets and bake at 180c for about 10 – 15 minutes. Bake a bit longer for a firmer result.

I have been a show person for a long time and both my show dogs and my 'pets' are in the same condition. It is only fair to the dog to keep him in as best a condition as you can. Letting a retired show dog get fat is damm lazy if you ask me. Not healthy for the dog at all.
