Our electric fence is chest high to our dogs. One of ours used to jump the internal fences after rabbits, a couple of hits from the fence and she no longer goes there. Our youngest female just had her first zap the other day, she now will not go up to the fence line. We do not have it on all the time, only when we think they need a reminder. Oh our pups have to be at least 5 months old before we let them near it.

Two pairs of waterproof boots and two pairs of asics runners. What a bargain. I got them all for the price of one pair of asics. Got them through Amazon, love that site.

I live on an acre, I have an electric fence around the boundry but all my dogs are locked up in runs when we are not home. That way I know they are safe and sound and will still be there when I get home. Our runs are built of a small shed. The shed has hammock beds inside, so out of the weather and safe.

I actually have two. A kirby that I like to use on the carpets and a Miele Cat and Dog that I use on the hard floors. For strength I love the kirby

Now that brought a tear to my eyes. So happy they have each other again.

Have taken 6 weeks off work without pay. Then had some lovely friends call in and feed them lunch plus play with them. My last litter is 16 mths old and now planning another later on in the year. So will have to see if they will let me have that time off again.

I have 4 females here. They can all run together when we are with them. We normally run the two x two. Our youngest female is a bully and would desperately like to be the alpha, she is the one who will cause grief in this household and it will be with her mother as the other two are very easy going. When we are out the older two are together in the house while the younger two are in seperate runs. Touch wood I have been lucky so far, I know that a good bitch fight can be deadly.

I live in a rural area, one side of our street is acreage and the other side (my side) is all one acre blocks. Every day a man who lives two doors down walks his staffy girl past our house, she is off lead. She races into our property and our dogs hate her. She is also very vocal. One of our dogs literally screams when she sees this bitch and I am quite sure would do a lot of damage to this staffy if she got out. We have yelled out, put your dog on a lead or it is illegal to walk a dog off lead. Walking today, a dog was being walked without a lead. Luckily it's owner grabbed it and held it as we walked passed. Told my young boy to leave and he was okay. I feel like putting up a huge sign out the front stating it is illegal to walk a dog off lead. Okay feel better now.

wow .. you're keen ... LOL ... doesn't close till 29th April :p yes - lets hope more and more Clubs use this facility ... I think it's GREAT I like to get my entries in early, that way I don't forget. I am just getting back into All Breeds showing after a couple of years break. So online entries is very new to me. I think it is fantastic.

I am so sorry for you. It is very hard to deal with. I lost my heart dog nearly 12 months ago and still shed a tear for him. It is a very hard decision to make but like you, I did not want him to suffer. I made that decision when his body could not cope anymore. The hardest part about making that call was his brain was fine. He was still very alert and happy. My thoughts are with you :D I am sure you will make the right decision when the time comes.

Go to the classified section on DoL. There are quite a few dog trailers for sale there. If you are only going to use it for one dog, you could look at getting a smaller two berth and taking out the divider so your boy has more room. Another idea is go to a show and watch and talk to other exhibitors. As you already have an idea it won't be so hard to pick up.

I use them twice a year. Spring and Autumn. I use the flea bombs in the bedrooms (carpeted areas) and the insect bombs in the rest of the house (tiled floors). Kills flies, mossies, spiders and bugs in general. I do it in the morning, come back later than suggested and open the house up for a minimum of 6 hours. No smell at all. Also I wipe down all benches and vac the floor after I come back into the house.

Can someone please point me in the right direction. I am looking at entering the Bulla Amenities Shows and it states online entries. How? and Where do I do this?

We bomb the inside of the house a couple of times a year and have not had a problem. I have been doing this for years.

Definately sounds dangerous doesn't it? But we take it in our stride because we love our beasties.

My OH had an accident when biking with one of our girls. She went one way and he the other. Result, a broken collar bone and the biggest haematoma on his thigh that I have ever seen.

Double bag it and take to the tip once a week. My OH has to do a tip run every week so it goes in with his stuff

Beef brisket bones are good too. They can eat the lot but have to work at them.

I have a bitch here who is one of 12 from frozen imp semen. Mother was a maiden and Rob Zammit did the surgical AI. I have used froz semen with another of my bitches and she had no problem at all. I did chose an elective ceaser as she had problems whelping the time before. She had 7 lovely babies.
