All dogs love it and no extra pick up which is excellent. Coats are gleaming and healthy. Very happy with the cost too.

Three sleep beside our bed and 1 sleep in a pen in the lounge room, he has a crate attached to this pen. He would not let the others sleep if allowed in the bedroom.

I go to the market to buy my veges and fruit for my guys. I freeze in 1kg lots. My pulp is very fine and easy for the dogs to digest.

Am just doing the change over to BH, my 4 Rotts seem to enjoy it. Will let you know how we go with them and pick up.

I have 4 Rotts that I do veges for. I was advised to buy a food processor with the motor on the outside not underneath as the motor takes longer to heat up. I do enough veges to last a month. Usually takes OH and myself about 2 hours from start to finish. I store it in icecream containers in the freezer.

I do mine in a food processor. It is reduced to a fine pulp.

Ahhh, you have not owned the right cat. Although I do not have a cat now, for 12 years I was owned by a Burmese. I have his ashes and on his little casket is "Linus - The Rottweiler Cat". He was the best cat, lots of fun and laughs, adored our dogs as did they adore him. Wonderful, wonderful animal and sadly missed.

I agree with Dyzney, dry means no loose skin anywhere on the head and neck.

Try putting red cordial in their drinking water. It does wonders for vomiting and the runny bums.

I have not heard of anyone having any luck using TCI with a Rottweiler. I think I would play it safe and have it surgically implanted. It is a lot a money and time to waste if it does not work so my way of thinking is to give it the best chance possible.

Leaving Dogs Inside House When You Go Out
laneka replied to poochiemama's topic in General Dog Discussion
Three of ours are inside when we go out. We have a grass run attached to the house with a doggie door. Luckily for us they all sleep when alone but we have been through the chewing and wrecking. Luckily only toys and a rug. -
So this also means a breeder cannot advertise their litter till they are at least 6 weeks old because that is when they are usually microchipped or does one have the vet put a set number aside, giving the breeder the numbers.

Done and enjoyed it.

What Brand Of Dry Food Do You Feed Your Dog?
laneka replied to Baileys mum's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I feed mainly Barf but do add a bit of dry. I would love try Black Hawk but am too far from any suppliers. -
Sledding anyone? Here is a boy I bred sledding and mixing it with the Sibes.

Can you imagine the look on my guys faces if I brought home a BC. I think their eyes would pop out of their heads Yep, Kitt is 8.5, time flies doesn't it.

New Legislation Apparently Hasn't Changed The World
laneka replied to SpotTheDog's topic in In The News
It will not change until humans change and start being responsible for their dogs and stop thinking 'it will never happen to me and my dog would not do that' It is not a dog problem but like everything else it is a human problem. -
Like Allerzeit, Rottweiler, Rottweiler, Rottweiler and Rottweiler. Ages 8.5, 6, 4 and 18 months. 3 girls and a boy.

Poll On Yahoo - Should Rottweilers Be Outlawed In Australia
laneka replied to TrinaJ's topic in In The News
I have voted. What is so sad about all these dog bites/maulings is that they are cross bred dogs. Very rarely is it a pedigree dog. I am not saying they don't bite but nine times out of ten it is a cross bred or a BYB dog. -
Hi Sasby, in my opinion all dogs need good quality meat with a percentage of fat on/in it. I am not a lover of feeding just dry food. My guys get meat, veges, bones and a little dry. I fed chicken frames every second night and all other meals are meat, veg and a little dry food. They also get beef bones for chewing. I think if you add meat to your girl's diet she just may put on weight. Lamb flaps and necks are very good for weight gain.

Probably Been Loads Of Threads About This But
laneka replied to frenzied1's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I agree, homemade barf is a lot cheaper than buying premium dryfood. I used to feed raw beef mince and a dryfood then swapped to veges and minced beef with bones every second night, much cheaper. -
Definately limited.

I have 2 Rottweiler bitches that have had cruciate ligament ops Both had the de Angelis method and both have come through the ops well. It is all about management after the op and doing exactly what the vet says. Good luck.

I put down a yoga matting I get from Clark Rubber, then they get a crate mattress, then blankets. We only really use our trailer when we go long distances.

It is the little things that can make a co ownership fail particularly when she is to be bred from. Who pays for what and where is the bitch to whelp. If with the breeder then how long does the breeder need her. Can you bear to part with her and if so for that long. I think it needs long and careful thought. Also a contract that explains every little detail.
