Speaking of photos, huuuuuuuge thanks to CrazyCresties for our photoshoot this morning! I think out of the gazillion shots CC took, there is bound to be a nice one in there! Can't wait to see them (but will wait as CC is going to be a busy girl! ;))

I love working cockers! Fargo is beautiful I watch "Escape to the Country" on TV and wish I had the guts to up and move to the UK! My dad is English so I can, but wouldn't do it on my own Would love a property out there where I can let my dogs run free in all that space!

Does anyone have any remedies for homemade doggy cologne/perfume? The vets once sprayed Ruby after a hydrobath with something that smelled really really nice, but I'm not too keen on buying something (usually really pricey!) So I'm hoping to make my own, I'm just not sure what to use! Can anyone help? Thanks :D

ST, consider yourself partnered ;) And we aren't too far ahead. Ruby may be 4 and a half years, but her dodo handler has no idea what she is doing! We can meet up soon though, I can throw some puppy bumpers for Lulu and you can throw some longer ones for Ruby (seeing as I don't have a thrower). I'm sure there is plenty we can help each other with without a thrower and with differing levels of current ability in the dogs mirawee, think you should just go and get yourself a Gundog and be done with it. Afterall, they're the best group of dogs there is :p

Can one of you please start training retrieving so I can have a training partner It's one of those sports where there is only so much you can do on your own. I feel like I'm up against a brick wall all the time and getting nowhere

Ninja is being a PITA. Lucky she's so damn cute. She was carrying my slipper around before and shaking it - slippers must die! She has a typical puppy attention span, 30 secs if that and she's off again! Been teaching her to sit, and wait a second then reward with big chasey game of tug toy. Tug must be shaken and killed, too!! Cute growls while shaking are an added bonus She's been a good girl at bed time, though, not a peep out of her when she has been put into her crate to sleep. She was even put back to bed this morning when mum went to work at 6.40am and didn't hear a peep out of her. Got up at 9am and got her up too I must go home soon, though Mum and dad will be left to their own devices with puppy starting from this weekend (dad is hopeless!!!!). I am over taking her out for wees a million times a day

I'd go back and treat her like a puppy, and it's handy you have a crate already. Put her outside often where you want her to go and wait her out til she goes. When she does, say your toilet word and praise like hell when she's done. Rinse, repeat. Crating her at night will help so she holds on overnight and then you take her out in the morning and she'll be ready to go and you won't miss the opportunity to praise her! Currently toilet training an 8 week old pup, it's all come back to me what a hassle it is and how on top of it you have to be to ensure no accidents!

I got an email this morning stating my Clean Run order has been shipped... but the Alphabet Drills book isn't meant to arrive at CR until August 10 and then dispatching. Weird! So it's either the books being dispatched already, or someone has hacked my account to order stuff (and kindly sending it to my address, thanks for that )

What I wouldn't do for a busy day ;)

Today is going to be a loooong daaaaay. On my first coffee, I can foresee many more before the day is out! At work by 7.30am and then straight to TAFE tonight! And to top it off I am not that busy at work so the day is likely to drag! Need some conversation

CC, if I was to buy a second hand DSLR somewhere if I got lucky, what sort should I get for a beginner that isn't spending too much money but will give me good enough "point and shoot" photos that come out a little better than "point and shoot" cameras? Or will they all still turn out horrid because I don't know what I'm doing? I would just love to be able to capture some clear shots with vivid colours... though I think the colour thing is brought out more using post-photography techniques, right? Are we still on for this Saturday at 10am? :D Shame that Pippa hasn't had all her shots, I would love to bring her down for photos too! I can't get anything of her, she's too dark, and too quick And my photography skills SUCK!!!
