(just hijacking the puppy thread here... saw Mason2009 post hoping she had posted photos No new pup for me for a looooong tiiiiime ) Though my parents just brought home a mini schnauzer pup which I will be training agility with so I guess she's kinda like mine :p

Face Swollen - Likely To Be An Allergic Reaction
RubyStar replied to **Super_Dogs**'s topic in General Dog Discussion
The vet gave me some extra tablets to give Ruby in the event it happens again. I also now have antihistamines in my car. But if it happens again, she will still be taken to the vets as this second sting took forever to go down and needed 2 injections, and tablets the following day when she was still puffy. I heard the more it happens, the more severe each reaction becomes So I won't be mucking around, tablets in my girl and straight to the vet!! -

Seems to be a problem with Labs going by this thread!! My Ruby has been bitten twice, what we think is a bee sting but as we've never seen the bee or the sting, we will never be 100% certain. $250 emergency vet bill later to get my Lab X Shar Pei looking more like a Lab again..... -

Retrieving & Field Training Talk
RubyStar replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well done, fetchindawgs!! Ticks scare me. So grateful they aren't really a problem over here. I think I'd be a paranoid mess if I lived over there! -
You're probably right, I think I recall them borrowing southern river's agility equipment before. Obedience is held on their own grounds, though, so that is where I got confused
-
OK went back and re-read the past few posts. Ignore me, I'm obviously confused. What day/date is the gundog club show? Though I do need to find out where the agility trial is being held so I don't turn up at the wrong place!
-
You've confused me RS Is it not on Sat 20th? Don't mind me, I have no idea what I am talking about :p I assumed Mas meant she was heading down this Sunday, but even that I could have misread I obviously need my medication. Now where did I place that block of chocolate? :D
-
Still can't Because I am trialling Sunday, I need to be at home on Saturday to do gardening and housework. Got a friend arriving next week to stay for a little bit so gotta have the place looking half decent! What? I thought it was at K9? It's the Midland trial right? Oh I just assumed it was at Midland because they hold their obedience trials there, but I could be wrong - and gosh I hope I am because the K9 is so much easier!!!!! Who has their K9 news handy? :p
-
Sick of my PC crashing! Plus Macs look pretty ;) I've always been a PC girl but so tempted when the time comes to replace my laptop with a Macbook Air, they look awesome and so thin and lightweight
-
What a shame the agility trial this Sunday is in Midland and not up at the K9, I'd have loved to see Zora and Lulu's show debut

Mason2009 did, I'm sure she'll answer for you

You didn't come see me.... am I scary or something? Hmmm yeah a bit scary. :p RV is in my class so of course I'm going to see her and you were training Ruby so I didn't want to interrupt. Did you get the DVD? Hope Ruby wasn't being a biatch at the time :p Yep I got it, thanks! I also said to RV that the liklihood of me ever meeting you in person is close to none so I gave her a couple of DVD's to pass onto you next week. Hope you don't already have them!

I'm starting to think TIGGY is fictional!!

I Have One Of My Pups Coming To Stay For 3 Weeks
RubyStar replied to Baileys mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
He is old enough now to be able to hold his bladder if he's been toilet trained, so I would just be proactive and take him out every hour or so. My dogs lived in a house for a few years with a doggy door, then we moved with no doggy door and have never had an accident inside. They hold on and if really busting, they will try get my attention. But I always take them out of an evening after dinner once or twice before bed time anyway. -
Not floral, yay! I hate floral smells
-
Oh ozjen I am so sorry to hear about the loss of little Gizmo! Hugs. Millie says she will miss woofing at him! And I'll miss him using every opportunity to jump into someone's lap! RIP little fella
-
Thanks, I will take a look at BP&G for it then before I buy online! Just really hate paying shipping fees
-
Such a tease!!!! :p And yep, I second Ptolomy, you're a STAR!!!! You didn't come see me.... am I scary or something?

Just googled this, it looks like what I might need for Millie's nose! It seems its primary function is not a sunscreen (or I could be interpreting it wrong), but do you find it still works great as a sunscreen? Millie's nose has lost all pigment and it is often cracked and sometimes the cracks bleed. It also has a fungal type smell sometimes. And yes, I've seen a vet about it, twice, one including a biopsy, and they can give me no answers except to apply sunscreen to prevent skin cancer. Edit: any idea if it can be bought at Better Pets or City Farmers? Or only online? Thanks

I think I should take the lease over, I could make a killing! As long as they keep charging 3 bucks for a cup of INSTANT coffee, and people willingly buy it, I can see me retiring to my dog property sooner rather than later :D
-
Oops I forgot about this thread! Thanks for the suggestions. What scent is Cowboy Magic? Can't stand the smell of lavendar

I love how the person yelling at their dog in the next ring has to be a woman :p
