I assume this is ANKC? Backup timer has a stopwatch and starts it as the dog jumps through the timing gates (or passes them if they decide to go around!) and stops it when they go through the end timing gates. Sometimes the timing gates fail so the backup time is used. Ring/gate steward has a list of all competitors and calls them to the ring. Lead steward takes their leads from them when they line up at the start line and places them at the end gate for them to collect on their way out.

It's against K9 rules to take dogs younger then 12 weeks on the grounds to make sure if anyone asks you let them know she is 12 weeks ;) Ahhh good point, forgot about that! In that case, it's no biggie, I just won't take her. Just thought I'd give her a head start but it's not a big deal, she's such a confident outgoing little thing already! And bossy

My parents have a new 10 week old pup and I take my 2 dogs to my parents place several times a week. Until pup is fully vaccinated, I've decided to avoid the local park with my two, but I'm still taking them to the K9 grounds for training. I'm considering taking pup down to K9 to socialise before her vaccs are done and carry her around.

Hello my fellow shopaholics!! I'm looking at the Rush to Tug website again.... oh so tempting!! Not so much for the tugging factor, but for the prettiness factor Ruby will play tug and enjoys it, but she isn't obsessed over it that she will play it when she gets out of the ring. She'd be saying "show me the foooooooood!!!" instead! I'd like to get Pippa a little tug lead though. She loves tug and I want to encourage it more when out at training with her. I wonder if they'd do baby sizes On another note, I've misplaced my folder with all my qualification cards in it Argh!!!!! The bag its in also has my latest Canine News and cheque book. I hope it turns up soon

I got up to leave for home, looked out the window for rain and didn't see any. Put jacket on, had another look, see rain in the distance over the freeway. Within 30 seconds it's pouring here!!!! Ta, I must have just entered Snooker and Gamblers, then. I need to work on some distance stuff, both girls failed miserably at the Gamble last time, even after Ruby did a nice Open round that was a fairly difficult distance challenge!

3 weeks until my next agility trial and 6 weeks until my next obedience trial. Whatever am I going to do with myself?! Maybe clean my house, do my assignments, train.......

Tell me about it!! Its funny how we see every1 else getting older but we dont feel any older. When i saw my photos with the pups all i thought was how old i look I get horrified when I find out "kids" I went to school with have several children! Then I realise, we're not spring chickens anymore

You can get small ones off ebay for cheap RS did you block off part of the crate when Ruby was a pup?? Yes, with a cardboard box. But only for a week or two, wasn't long at all.
