Where is Lavendar Farm? If I didn't have agility I'd come to the novice/restricted one -

Typical!!!! I have an agility trial on this Saturday Edit: Safurday isn't a word Stupid iphone! -
No idea

My "everyday" lead is about 25mm wide and I used that in the ring :p They have been cut down so are quite short and they are light and it's what I felt comfortable using There is never any lead leftover to flap in their face, which I hate

Well the fact that they state they believe they are covered for LIFE after the 1 year booster, I take that to mean they don't think titre testing is required.
-
Great info! But according to that info, sounds they neither support boosters nor titre testing. Just a 1 year booster and good to go kinda thing
-
I did ask, but I forget
-
Yeah, Ruby got it recently at Applecross vet. The vet said he preferred to do 3 yearly.
-
Pretty sure that is how I will go about it when I get a new pup for myself.

Thanks, guys. I thought 5 week sounded young, but the vacc record definitely states at 5 weeks and 8 weeks (a day before she was flown over). I think it sounds like overkill to do another 2 on top of that, but seeing as though the 5 week one probably did diddly squat to make her immune to anything, maybe she needs the 16 week. Not that I did 16 week with Ruby mind you. She had 7-8 weeks I think, then 12 weeks, then out and about 10 days after that. I did take her out before her vaccs, but carried her everywhere (the only places she got put down was in my old office, and at a friend's backyard who didn't have pets).

Back on vaccination talk again - sorry! If a pup is vaccinated at 5 weeks, 8 weeks, and again at 11-12 weeks, is that the 3 done and dusted or the 16 week one still applies for those who still wish to get it? I was just reading the breeder's forum and some breeders are saying they first vaccinate at 7-8 weeks of age then again at 12. So I'm wondering seeing that Pippa was vacc'd at 5 weeks and 8 weeks prior to her flight over, does she get her 11-12 week one and that should/can be it? Because the vet is recommending my mum get the 16 week one (like they do) but I wonder if she needs it because her 12 week vacc will be her third. The vacc history said next one due at 11 weeks, but mum is getting it done at 12 weeks due to vet booking it in for 12 weeks. Regardless of her getting the 16 week one or not, can she start to come out and about 10 days after her 12 week one? Edit: 5 weeks seems awfully young, I wonder if it actually did her any good to get one that young? Seems like there would be no benefit

When I have bad training sessions or trials, I have to remember to stop what I'm doing and let us both have a break. No point continuing when I'm worked up, it makes things worse. Then I go and watch my videos of trials where my girls have done really well and remind myself that us as a team are quite capable of some nice work, and it helps me back into the ring again after thinking we aren't cut out for competing afterall. My dogs do so well when I'm not stressed. When I tell myself to not stress, I just stress more and get more nervous. When we have fun, things go really well, and that is what I have to keep reminding myself of

Congrats on the results, FD! Hope there wasn't a nice slope to heel down with crutches! Oh I got the days mixed up! I had heaps to do around the house anyway so decided I best not waste another weekend on "dog stuff". I will try to make it out to a trial before the season ends (which can't be too far off?!) I'm hoping for convenience sake there is one more "local". I don't mind travelling if I'm competing or it's for a weekend, but it gets a bit much just to watch for a few hours. Why do there have to be snakes in this country? I want to train over the summer so I can trial next season but those stupid snakes!!! -

Oh norty Coco Sounds like it was quite entertaining! I've been working with mum's new addition, Pippa the mini schnauzer (currently 11.5 weeks old). Mum has done a good job of teaching her to sit, wait for her dinner, and to shake paw, and I've been doing a bit of work with her waiting in a sit while I throw a tug toy and release her to it. She's a keen little tugger! Then yesterday I started with her sitting at heel to make her think it's the best place ever. I have such a sore back from leaning down and treating She barely makes it past my ankle But by today's session she was sitting there looking up at me, waiting for her C/T. She's the "mini Lab" dad wanted - she is a garbage guts!! LOOOVES her food!!
-
Congrats to everyone on their weekend's achievements!!

Congratulations, ava and wuffles!!!!! Good work Bugger about being no video.

Oh man, what a shame I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing cos I'd be jumping up and down offering to handle your dogs Hope you find someone! I have only placed Novice/Restricted trials in my calendar so I don't know when All Age ones are on. Is there an AA on Sat and Novice/Restricted on Sunday, both at the same place? If I make it out there, I'd only be able to do one day. I love watching them all, though, such a shame it takes so long and therefore the need to split them over 2 days! I ordered my dokkens from America - www.cabelas.com. Postage is 25% of the total of your order, or a minimum of $20.
