  1. I do obedience and agility with my two, and also train a bit of retrieving with them. I compete in the first two and hope to compete in retrieving at some stage next year. I would love to do tracking, but I just don't have the time with those 3 other sports plus full time work. And next year I am going back to study (while still working) so my time will be even more stretched. Oh and I will be doing agility with my mum and dad's new pup starting term 4 and into next year and beyond. I want a new pup in a few years to do obedience and retrieving with, plus conformation. Not sure how to fit it all in! The way I cope now is Monday night obedience, Tuesday night obedience with some agility, the very occasional Wed arvo obedience (otherwise a teensy bit of something in the backyard), Thursday night agility with some obedience and retrieving, and any Fridays I am free and can be bothered, retrieving training. Weekends for trialling or retrieving training. No, I don't have a life!!!! And a very messy house, full dirty washing basket and an empty fridge!!! And with all that training, I should have better trialling dogs, I guess that says something about my training ability then, not my dedication Edit: that is on a good week. Some weeks I just CBF!!!
  2. I don't shop at Woollies that often, that's probably why I haven't seen it. My locals are Coles and IGA!
  3. Mine get no name brand Sardines in oil, or if there are none with oil left on the shelf, ones in tomato sauce, but that's a rarity. I haven't seen the mackerel, I'll have to look!
  4. No the mini schnauzer will be! Go the ninjas!!!
  5. No, sorry, leaning down for small dogs is not allowed. She either needs to toss it up to you into your hands (she has to train you to be able to catch), or get a bigger dog :p PS - leaning forward is ok, you just have to be able to reach your dog to get the dumbell. Just wouldn't look good if you reeeeaaaaaaaally have to lean forward!
  6. I haven't read the rest of your post yet, or the others, but this statement is so true it deserves I don't have many guests over because I am hardly home - my garden is a shambles, full of weeds and long grass, and my housework is at the very bare minimum! A sweep of the floor once or twice a week. If I want to get stuck into housework, I need to wait for a trial free weekend I don't have one of those coming up for a few weeks now, so it will have to wait
  7. They don't have to be very close. Just close enough to take a dumbell from their mouth without stretching out (I'd use that as a distance gauge for her fronts even without a dumbell). As for straight, maybe get her to come into front between two barriers? Or if she constantly leans to one side, maybe just against a wall.
  8. Planning a new addition? :D Thanks mirawee!
  9. My dogs have been taught a specific word to start chowing down their dinner from their bowl. I even throw in trick words that sound similar and they are not often fooled. But would I trust in it? Nope!
  10. Well I was interested in DOLer videos I've seen yours, though ;)
  11. Sending best wishes for Mindy, hope she feels better soon!!!
  12. That shouldn't be It should be Bummed you're not going to put Toby in, RV!!! Kind of hard to when I am at work Plus I made such a fuss get my shift swapped for the Royal it was just easier not to go for states. I'd be coming down with something *cough*
  13. I think some of you doggy dancers in here need to provide us youtube links! I'm interested in watching
  14. That shouldn't be It should be Bummed you're not going to put Toby in, RV!!!
  15. I did see that you are handling Abbey and wondered why J wasn't, so now I'm guessing it was a mistake? If Ozjen gets through with her two, she'll need a stand-in handler! Just like if I get through with my two - oh wait - let me just have a chuckle at that thought I've broken my dogs! Something always breaks before the States mirawee - can you please bring those Royal passes on Saturday for me? 2 for Sunday wasn't it? Oooooooh-er!!!!!! :D There was a WL ESS at retrieving that I thought was a LM They all look a bit similar to the untrained eye, or maybe that's just to my eye
  16. I am, CCD or CD ring, not sure. I chose to ignore the other comment. :D CD ring, catalogue has just confirmed. Wuss :D
  17. Tiggy, are you stewarding this weekend? What ring? Why didn't you enter? :p
  18. Thanks but probably not. Still sounds like too much for a small baby But when do I get to see Gibbs again? ;)
  19. Yeah Pippa is very "lively" I just hope she stays that way!!
  20. Is the WC a puppy? Will I get to meet it next week? Not that I still want one, but I would really love to meet one in person
  21. You must continue, you're doing great! (if Rosie isn't lame). I'm enrolling next term with ninja :p My memberships isn't up for renewal until the new year. I can't be bothered training Tuesday agility generally, the 8pm slot doesn't suit me and I'm not keen on doing classes with my 2. So if I do go down, it's to do obedience with my dogs and the puppy classes with Pippa.
  22. RosieFT - just in case you didn't get the message, I am sorry I didn't make it down to training tonight and give you your book. I had every intention of going training but I wasn't feeling too good come about 6pm. Are you checking out any trials or shows coming up where I can give it to you? Otherwise I can drop it into you if you like or I will make sure I am there next week!!!!
