  1. I find it amazing how sticking needles in them sends them to sleep! Tossing up whether to go see Deb again with both girls or try Bowen. Decisions, decisions!! The problem is I'd like to get them routine a "tune up" every so often but the costs just add up too quickly Bring on a lotto win!!
  2. I always buy mine from Pet Products On The Web
  3. Crossing all my crossables for a good outcome for Bondi How old is she?
  4. Can you get it at City Farmers or BP&G? And roughly how much does it cost and how long does it last? And isn't it an animal product? But Mr PF takes it? Oh my!
  5. Very possibly, I don't deny there are a lot of products out there that just play on owners like myself who don't really know but our babies are our life and we want to make sure we are doing the very best we can for them, so we buy these products believing we are doing it in their best interests. How many fish oil do you give daily out of curiosity?
  6. Does Deb see 2 dogs at a time? Just wondering if I should take my two in for a "tune up" or not. I feel I get very lazy with maintaining their bodies and preventing/recognizing injuries. I keep meaning to book them in for some bowen therapy but as I don't know a lot about it, I don't know if I am just throwing my money away with either of these things because it comes down to I am unsure if my dogs are actually sore or not. We can take them for "tune ups" in either of these can't we to see if they can pinpoint any trouble areas that may be there that lame owners like myself cannot recognize?
  7. fish oil is important but the rest of the stuff has no proven use..if you feel your dog is better on it then use it otherwise don't waste your money. Mine get fish oil tablets as well, the ones with vitamin E in it. I have nothing to measure it's "usefulness" against. I have no indicator either way to say it is good or bad (as they aren't arthritic - I guess you could measure it with arthritic dogs?). As Labs who are active and jumping in sports, and are nearing middle age (), I feel better about giving them a boost. Small price to pay for my own peace of mind that I am being proactive with their joints!
  8. I also think with Rally I don't WANT to get in the habit of chitter chattering the whole way round. Then we'll get to obedience and she will wonder why she's all on her own! A few encouraging words and good girls and slight gestures for stations when she needs them is all I will give. I will give extra help when needed but if she's doing fine and is happy, I personally want to keep it all to a minimum
  9. I use Joint Guard. Can't tell if it makes any difference But I will continue to use it as a precautionary measure. Makes me feel better that I'm giving them something
  10. What's more surprising than both my kids making the distance challenge, is the fact that I entered them in the first place! I don't remember making a decision to enter Ruby into it, I usually only enter her if entries are $5. Then to find out I did end up entering her AND entered Millie too (don't tend to bother entering Millie in Open classes) I think someone did my entries for me Or I'm losing the plot, because I only sent those entries off a couple of weeks ago right before closing date.
  11. Is this in relation to starting a heel pattern in slow or fast pace, or PIM for UDX? I'm beyond tired and easily confused
  12. Ditto to all amypie's list of congrats... I'm far too tired to go back and get all the names for myself! Long weekend is over and I am far from rested. Today's agility trial was exhausting. There for 10 hours but it was a great day Ruby got a clear round in Excellent Jumping and 2nd place. Millie got a clear round in Open Jumping but after faffing about before getting her into the weaves, we ended up over time by 2 seconds
  13. Happy Birthday, Tiggy and Sophie!!! :D My gosh I am KNACKERED. I need a weekend after my long weekend. It was FAR from restful. Today was an agility and games trial - got there before 8am and didn't leave til 6pm. Just the one clear round today, an Excellent Jumping pass for Ruby and 2nd place. One more to go until we're in Masters Both kids got the distance challenge in Open Jumping and Millie did get a clear round in it, but we were over by 2 seconds because she faffed about at the weaves which cost us time.
  14. I don't get it When were you meant to collect your dog? Maybe you need to explain this one to me in person Should starting a heel pattern in slow or fast pace be something I should train too just in case?!
  15. Yes I was chatting to her most of the way round, but not being overly silly about it. Just a few encouraging words. I was told that I need to talk to her, my reply was "I was!" ;) She knew I was talking to her, she was happy and waggy
  16. Well, it is. Entire thing surrounded by bush pretty much. But for someone who hasn't seen a snake "in the wild" before and wouldn't know how to identify one, I'm pretty naive when it comes to them so when you train on the lushh green ovals with carparks separating the bush and ovals, I've rarely thought about snakes until someone brings it up! I don't like the things and as far as I'm concerned, they're ALL dangerous (only because I don't know how to identify them!)
  17. Damn snakes. When you train on the lush green grass of the K9 it gives me a false sense of security that we are safe. I will be extra careful now. Don't think I'm going to let mine have any more offlead runs at K9 during the warmer weather. Bummer I don't think I could handle living in a tick area!!!!
  18. Congrats!!! Geez that made me nervous stewarding UD Interesting observations though standing in with Ruby. Naturally she stayed on lead and I stayed with her, but she looked anxious towards where you guys had disappeared to like I had gone too.... um hello Ruby, I am still standing right next to you!!!! Little cow decided to jump up just as you guys returned around the back of your dogs  She wanted to say hello to G. Lucky she was on lead so she couldn't go anywhere. Did I mention little cow?! She did get a jackpot though, she thought she did good. And she did, first 7 minute down stay of her life I think Woohoo that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope someone got it on video for you and I hope you share! A score that great certainly deserves boasting about :D Congrats Scoota you clever boy you! I'm looking forward to upping the distractions for Ruby. I'm pumped to train so BRING IT ON :D
  19. Congrats Scoota! What did the UDX judge do to make it harder on the dogs?
  20. Poor Bondi What a horrible experience to see our dogs in pain. I know that if I could, I would take my girls pain for them in a heartbeat. I hope the Bowen helps her and her double dose of medication tonight sees her through with some rest tonight
