I have no idea how everyone is managing to make up several orders over $100! Today is the day. I must order or I will have no chance of a Christmas delivery! Procrastination at its finest, means Chrissy pressies probably won't arrive in time

Smashed window to boot Locking cars doesn't even help us. All I can think is they must have had something of value on show in the car to smash the window.

Here's one of them Ptolomy - the first by the sounds? Good detective work!! Looks like all the detective work on the weekend paid off

Well done emery and showdog on your Bunbury results!!! Lovely pics of Gibbs as always Love it

Rozzie, I wasn't ;)

Three times? When you take into account it's a Labrador(s) she wants, with several young children under 4, three times doesn't even come close.
-
What an attractive labrador. Not usually a fan but she is a beautiful looking dog Thankyou She's definitely a beautiful lady to me with the personality to match
-
Trixie looks like she's putting her head so high up because she doesn't want her face to get splashed on by what her legs are doing Kyzer reminds me of Millie. She would let Ruby jump in and get the ball, then wait on the edge and just swipe it from her So you went to Eden Hill afterall? That sucks that they didn't have the ring set up! I don't even know where the Eden Hill club trains (and don't say Eden Hill! I mean what grounds! :p)

I like Katherine, but the whole thing was just a bit odd Can't say I enjoyed it!

Retrieving & Field Training Talk
RubyStar replied to RubyStar's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I hope you're wrong, Ptolomy, if it's being done in cover. I won't be entering if it's done in cover in summer. Might be done at the K9 on the oval if done in January? Wouldn't want to use the cover there in January, either. I'm sure our dogs well being will be a priority -
love it! Oh no naughty Rosie!!!!!! I honestly don't know what I'd do. Ruby has given chase to some ducks before but she called off them, thank goodness!!

If any Perth people want to order more things but can't make it to $100, I haven't placed my first order yet so I don't mind chucking extras onto my order.
-
Then: Now(ish):

Maybe contact them and tell them that you measured several times using their sizing as the guideline and they still didn't fit. Doesn't seem fair to follow their sizing and it doesn't fit!
-
I started with the wrong breed, then Ruby was and still is, such a challenge!! But I think I'm better for it
-
Well done wuffles and Ava and Nik and Annie!!! Been wanting an Aussie for a while now but I think I'd feel the pressure that it would have to perform well because we have some pretty awesome Aussie obedience teams around! I wouldn't want to let the Aussie side down

Amy ordered the first one and hers got through. Not sure why it wouldn't, it's not made of prohibited products is it?

For paw protection, any opinions on which one you guys would opt for? http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1491 http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3002&ParentPage=whatsnew

Those Bella bowls look nice but my dogs do NOT need them!! Still finalising my order

To make things more interesting for people, does anyone feel like posting direct links to their favourite Clean Run merchandise? And why you like it? There is so much on there that even though I think I've been through the whole site, someone mentions something new and I haven't seen it and it sounds interesting!!

Oh no, they've changed the i-squeaks AGAIN?! The rubber didn't seem as durable in the last order as they were in my original order a few years back, and now they go and change the squeak Amy, can you bring one of your duck sounding isqueaks to training tomorrow please? I want to hear what they sound like and decide if I should order some more! Mim, what is the fragrance thing you mention?
-
Which duck dogs? If it's Soggy, don't worry about postage, I'll be round shortly :D I do want an Aussie Shepherd, so I'll swing by and collect after your place
-
I started training on the grass at the park and OMG it KILLED me!!!

Exactly my thinking. It's not like you could/would take a couch potato dog and then subject them to 20km's of running. I think it is beneficial to build up a dog's fitness over time and there is no reason why a largr/heavier breed could not build up the fitness for it. Retrieving is taxing on the body, all that jumping over things in their path, up and down steep hills to retrieve game, swimming. Heck, if a gundog is built for that, then a 20km run when fitness is sufficient, plus a bit of agility for a breed not carrying excess weight, should not be a problem (and I bring that up because it is of the opinion of many that a Lab should not do agility - but why not when it is built to work in the field all day?) My opinion of course and the health of my dogs is first and foremost and I won't subject them to anything they are not personally and individually physically fit to do
