  1. Log into your account, you should be able to see a history of your orders and their status
  2. Do we have the windup this Thursday? Are we bringing a plate of goodies each like last time?
  3. Yeah I got to mum's at 6pm and it was thundering and lightening all over the place, not to mention rain so heavy it was bordering on hail. We both looked at each other and went there is no way in heck we're going out in that After mum went and bought tinsel and battery operated xmas lights to dress Pippa up in Glad it went well, Rusky! Whose Lab did you want me to meet?
  4. I haven't read much of this thread past the first 2 pages but watched this video and have to agree with huski, that video was VERY unimpressive in regards to quality obedience work. What was with physically putting the dog back in position Each to their own. If someone wants to use that method and thinks they get quality work from it then let them live in their own little world! The woman looked completely miserable with her dog, not to mention her dog probably wanted to be anywhere but there. Why be there if it is that unenjoyable?
  5. If anyone wants to do Rockingham beach one day between Christmas and New Year's, I'm in. I go back to work on the 3rd
  6. Nope, don't particularly like cats! Owned them as a kid, had my own for almost 20 years, and found my sister's cat adorable. But they have both passed, I turned into a crazy dog lady, and don't want to own another cat! I get so much out of my dogs and never got anything similar out of the cats, so they're just something I don't want to own again. And my views on housing them have also changed. I wouldn't want a cat to roam the streets anymore, and I don't want a dedicated cat run (I do want a dog run, though!), so it's just easier not to have cats in my opinion
  7. Me too! SA have an obedience and agility trial on NYE I believe (I'm sure our resident lurker, ness, will pop along very soon to confirm or deny!) and I think it would be great if we had the same.... cos ya know, I don't have much of a life outside of dogs, either
  8. Not sure if I could do it But thanks for the suggestion, something to think about. Just went to find a better photo of her nose and I am gobmacked at how her nose used to be compared to now! Only a couple of days after coming to me (note the scabbiness): This just over 3 years ago, around same time as photo above: Getting lighter: To now (it's even extended down to her lips): Sorry again for thread hijack.
  9. Ouch! Really? Will this help protect from the sun and toughen it up to prevent further trauma, or is purely cosmetic?
  10. If you have siggies turned on here, see the choc Lab in mine? Her nose used to be brown. Trauma or sun damage to her nose made it scab (before she came to live with me so I don't know the exact cause). I had a piece removed by the vet for testing (nope not cancer, yay!) and it left a pink mark, much like on your dogs nose. That small pink patch grew to what you now see in my signature pic. Now very prone to sun damage and a difficult place to get the dog to keep sunscreen on! Her nose also has a bit of a stench at times and the vet says it could be fungal, but twice now I've seen about it and they haven't given me any medication for it. Really not sure what to do about it It gets pinker and pinker, especially if she's been outside. I know she'll never get the pigment back in it but I just wish there was something I could do for it! It's a very sensitive area for her and if she knocks or scrapes it, it bleeds. Sorry to sort of hijack but I just felt like I related to your post somehow and wanted to share
  11. Well she will keep getting dogs at the beginning of the alphabet!!
  12. Not having shown before and being as scared as MG is about it all, I have still offered to take Gibbs in! I can get a taste of showing to see if my next dog should be a show one or not Think about it MG, as I'd love to handle a Lab, being that if I do get a show dog it will more than likely be a Lab, too! (or an Aussie, but the grooming me!)
  13. Well done mirawee on your show weekend! Sounds like a great success!! Well done amypie, your runs were lovely! I got Kyzer's on video for you, I will email it to you tonight (just remind me if I forget!) Trixie's JDX run was very very nice! Shame about the one missed jump, though! Millie got a JDX pass on the weekend. She messed her weavers (again!) in ADX. I can't wait until next year when I am going to start training her in agility again The dogs have had 6 months off agility training (bar the occasional run on a Thursday night) but I just keep trialling and have fun regardless! Ruby had her 2nd run in Masters Jumping and again was just one jump off getting a Q! Her first go she knocked the last bar because I slowed right down, oops! This time I got lost at the very end, held my arm out while I figured out where I was going and too late, she took the jump I was pointing to She's slow and steady and usually listens to me to call her off stuff so our biggest worry in Masters will just be being able to make time
  14. Yep they are. I tried my smalls on Ptolomy's poles on the weekend. I don't recall there being 2 different size cups when I bought mine almost 2 years ago!
  15. Welcome home RV!!!! But I guess it's not such a nice welcome to have to go back to work ;) No training tonight, it's the SR Xmas party. My kiddies are now on a semi-training break. Not completely, but they are going to get lots of time off and more walkies. I am looking forward to having the time to head out and take them for a walk in the warm evenings! I so need the exercise!!
  16. Ummmm.... because she can be a bit of an airhead and wigglebum!! I know, couldn't have asked for a better end to the trialling year! Thanks for the congrats, everyone :D Congrats, ness!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D
  17. Which beach ST? Rockingham? Looks lovely! I should take my kids to the beach over my short Xmas break
  18. Clean Run order FAIL!! What are you going to do now? Make another order with the stuff they refunded? And did they give you a choice on what they were taking out of your order? They might start putting free shipping restrictions on us very eager Aussies soon
  19. I'd like to say so for mine but it's safe to say that come 2012 we'll be back to wondering what the heck went wrong I already know what it is, daytime So I don't foresee a lot of daytime obedience trials in my 2012. Will do a few early in the year while it's still coolish perhaps, but when it's hot and my dogs don't want to work I feel like strangling them! Night time trials work best for us :D So proud of my 2 kiddies last night
  20. I'm assuming you meant someone's dogs got out bedazzled? Is there a photo of them?
  21. I bought 4 medium isqueaks and 3 smalls (though 1 is for Pippa). Don't worry RosieFT, I did actually order 5 so your two are in there, I just meant I ordered 3 amongst my kids and Pippa. They love their mediums!
