You took Trixie for a bike ride at 10pm?! That's hard core! My dogs know better than to wake me in the morning. They aren't even allowed to get out of bed until they get the say so, even if it's 10am Reasons like that make me think I'm crazy to want a puppy and ruin our solid routines!!

I'm always at Warnbro beach on Sat & Sun mornings - if you do go on a Sat I could go the extra 5 minutes drive to Kwinana if you would like some Kelpie company :D Have to work Friday until midday I think Saturday might be too busy, but I will let you know on Thursday or Friday if I end up going on Saturday I always have good intentions of going but then the time comes and I end up choosing to sleep in I was thinking Friday so I could bath the dogs in time for Christmas :D But I was also hoping my Clean Run order would arrive because I ordered the Mango shampoo, yummy!

Ooops, my fingers wrote the wrong word! My head meant spider, but my fingers typed snake! They often write their own words

Yes, that's what I'd do I did a bit of that with Pippa the other week. Or when she looks away, I just take off running in the other direction and she comes bounding after me, then I reward her when she comes back to heel.

I bet you're wishing you went for an Aussie pup instead now with much shorter legs
-
I didn't realise it was a snake bite, Tiggy! Hope he is recovering!!!

I think the moral of the story is keep you and your doggies locked up safe inside at all times, kids!! (but then the bed bugs might get us)

Staff are probably forced to take annual leave in January for their mandatory shutdown period

I wonder if CR get any orders for a couple of months following their free postage sales?

Agreed, ST. Morning on a day with little to no wind, and of course warm so humans can go in, too If the water isn't calm and flat I get scared to let the dogs in, let alone myself! Flat, clear water I feel a bit easier about. I found Kwinana beach wasn't very busy (Hillary's is waaaaaaaay too busy, though it IS a nice beach!) I did have a Jack Russell problem dog at Kwinana and his owner was a twat, but that was just one incident so I am comfortable to go there again and it is probably the best bet for the littlies and dogs that don't do so well with a big crowd of dogs.

After seeing the news last night I'm inclined to agree with you! It's such a shame that there really is no substitute for a nice beach, no matter how nice a lake or river may be
-
Lancelin sounds awesome but probably a bit far to trek for me Now you've got me interested in a doggy beach weekend in Lancelin sometime, I've never been
-
Thanks for starting the poll, ST. I have just voted I was thinking of heading to the beach this Friday or Saturday morning though (in addition). Is anyone interested in joining me? Thinking of the one in Kwinana. Friday should hopefully be less busy.

That's what I was going to say. I don't think they need to put extra staff on, it will cost them more and we're already getting great value for money! I don't mind the delay, I was just a little shocked that they basically told me to stop being so impatient when I asked for my tracking number I just wanted it for curiosity sake and never ever complained to them!

Tiggy that is what Millie does to Ruby, pinches it directly out of her mouth. I'm sure she'd do it to others too but they rarely play with toys with other dogs around. emery, sorry to hear about your grooming disaster Don't feel bad. Hope the little guy is ok!
-
Yes I gave them my order numbers and my name was on my email. Maybe they just got sick of everyone emailing for their tracking numbers? Oh well, I will just have to sit by the mailbox, the old fashioned way!!

Hate to say it TSD but your training holiday failed the second you packed some dummies to take away with you
-
So how do you work entries with channel method? Do you kind of shape them to take the right one? I don't really know anything about this method I hadn't done much, if any, free shaping with Millie, either. I trained her 2x2 with an isqueak. Took her a bit to take her eyes off me, and sometimes now if she knows I'm holding the isqueak she will pull out Hence remedial weave training this summer is my plan! That and training for the RATG next year!

You've been my obedience saviour and I hope you know how appreciated you are, by many of us!! I may not have been "in the game" for long, but if I can do my bit to help others as a "pay it forward" kind of thing, I am only too happy to help those newer in the game, or even the old timers if I can ever be of any assistance
-
Ptolomy, nice work!! I went and picked dog food up on Friday and saw your spiffy yellow weave poles set up in the front yard Careful or someone might pinch them So how do you find teaching via channel method? Cider looks to be picking it up really well. I only have experience with 2x2 method and I need to revisit weaves this summer break because the past 6 months of virtually no agility training has taken its toll on my girls weaving, they've gone backwards While I will review 2x2 with them, I am thinking ahead for when I teach Pippa. Not sure if I should do 2x2 or pick your brains on the channel method!

I contacted Clean Run for my tracking numbers like I was told I could do (both here and someone who works at AQIS) and was polite, but got a response back saying they know I am anxious to get my order but to allow 30 days for delivery and if I want it faster next time to select a different shipping method. What the?! And no, they didn't give me my tracking numbers. Very weird!
-
What date did you order yours? If mine had been shipped on the 8th like they said then I could be getting excited about a delivery early next week
-
Then my two like to prove that theory wrong
-
If you upload them elsewhere via your phone you can then link to them from here. Photobucket have an iphone app and you can upload photos directly from iphone to your account, then copy the [ img ] link and pate it in here. Or if you have facebook, I tend to send mobile uploads to my facebook account and then link to them from here, too.

If she is 65cm at the withers she is well above the average for both dogs and bitches. Are you measuring her from her withers? 65cm doesn't sound right. Dogs should be 56-57cm and bitches 55-56cm. My bitches are 53cm and their legs aren't short. Do you have any photos you can share of your girl?
