Not sure about the CV area AP, but Applecross vets do it. Sorry, not a lot of help unless you want to go over that way.

I've got in built crates in the back of my car so the dog's can't get out, so I'm not quite sure why I was concerned about size and them getting out I guess I am more concerned about people sticking their hands into the car. The only time the dogs get left in the car without the back completely open is if I need to nip into a shop quickly, or on the odd occasion I stop for a quick bite on the way home from training Wed arvos and the weather isn't too hot.

My 6 inch arrived the other day but I'm yet to use it. It's so tiny! But at least it will give a bit of air and the dogs won't fit through

Poor Rosie!!!!!! Yeah Ruby didn't wimper and rarely makes a fuss if she's hurt, but Millie tends to carry on like a girl's blouse when she's hurt. In this instance, though, I don't blame her ;)

The litter of whippet pups we met before my sister met Lewis were all nervous wrecks and kept running and hiding from us. Not really knowing what to expect, as I knew they'd be completely different to a litter of Lab babies, I still had a feeling that it wasn't very typical of a Whippet.

Ant it is, then. The white bit raised up in like a line and red surrounded it (bumpy red bits kinda). The white bump is gone now, along with the pain, and is left with a red mark, surrounded by white, surrounded by red Gosh poor Moo, if it hurt this much on a leg, I certainly don't want to know what it's like to be bitten on the privates!
-
Funny, I've never really had any experience with Whippets but when my sister asked me for advice on what breed would suit her family with a young son and small backyard, Whippet came to mind. She then went and read up on them and agreed! And as you know, is hoping to add a Whippie baby to her family in the near future

I wouldn't take it to heart though, OSS. Everyone says Labs need hours of exercise a day, pffft! My two are the epitome of lazy! RFT, not sure exactly what it was that bit me. There are ants crawling all over the concrete and the grass was thick and spongy, so I guess it was just an ant. It can't have been a bee because when I went back to have a look, Ruby with me, Ruby then got bitten too Hopefully not a spider, because besides a white mark where I was bitten and a bit of redness, it isn't spreading. So I am putting it down to an ant. Finally got some relief by putting some tea tree oil on it - magic stuff!!!

If anyone remembers me posting not long ago about Millie getting bitten by an ant on her girly bits, I have the world of sympathy for her. I was bitten (at the same park) on my leg when I knelt down and over 2 hours later it is still aching! Need to keep it numb with ice. Ruby also was bitten on her paw but she's a tougher chickie than me. She laid down and licked it, then held it up, then was fine and had to endure the walk home. It's me who suffered more!! Shame about that park, it was rather good for retrieving training as I could hide dummies amongst the bushes and use the lake for water stuff! Stupid ants

He had the website address up and other details. It has since been edited. Good on you Craig for taking the comments on board and not taking offense

Well she didn't like bath time! So we'll see I'll have to fish out my kong water wubbas as she won't swim unless there is a reason to!
-
Nope, that is why I'd like to take her to see if she enjoys swimming half as much as she enjoys playing in the hose

Ta guys. Should really invest in one as Pippa is likely to turn deaf as she approaches the terrible teens! At the moment with minimal distractions, she turns on a dime when we call her Never had that before and gosh I love it But I am under no illusions that it is here to stay, unless we keep working on it and up the distractions slowly, which is where the long line will come in handy

Thanks Weasels

Just call us OCD then

Does anyone have a nice long line I could borrow on Sunday, pretty please? I'd like to bring Pippa, or better yet drag mum along so she can bring Pippa, but mum is a bit scared Pippa will swim and not turn around or run off. Her recall isn't half bad for a little pup (teenage stage yet to hit!) and no idea if she will be interested in swimming, but a long line would make mum feel better. Thanks in advance!

While you're here, can I ask a favour? The title has been bugging me for ages There is a u in Youtube

I tried Millie's thundershirt on her yesterday and she didn't seem to care it was on, yay Hope she can lay down in it though, think she tried to then decided against it Can't wait to try out the collapsible bowls attached to the crates!
-
I didn't think they'd fit otherwise these would have been VERY useful for me! If I walk to the park with the balls, I carry them in a poo bag which is quite awkward Lock laces are brilliant aren't they!! Ruby got a slip lead in the colour "Ruby" Millie's unfortunately wasn't called "Millie", but "Parfait" Oh I never saw these! Dammit!!!
-
Love my slip leads! They are so pretty! I'll have to get photos of the dogs modelling them when I think of it. And my lock laces! I bought a stuffing free duck with 2 squeakers but one squeaker stopped squeaking almost immediately (still inside the toy though!) and it gets all slobbery too quickly, but the dogs really do love the fluffy toys to play with! The fact they can't de-fluff it is a bonus! Kong Tugga Wubbas are brilliant! Pippa the MS loooooves it!! And so cheap!!
-
Yeah putting it into first gear doesn't do much on grass. Just means you're peddling away and getting nowhere I still wanna head out and bike ride though, my bike sits there unused. Just not sure I'll bother training Millie up. I love cycling "the bridges", haven't done it in years!

If You Were Choosing A Breed On Looks Alone...

That was exactly how my list read a few years ago. DOL has opened my eyes to a few others! -
Woah AP you went all out - so I expect you to actually compete this year Every year I say I want to do it, but realistically, I just don't have the time and motivation to train for it, and my dogs would need a fair bit of training as their endurance levels are pretty average, much like their owner. And cycling over grass doesn't thrill me at all

I saw one of his videos at the beach earlier, stunning boy!! Can't wait to meet him Though I'm not sure it's necessary to sit under the pergola, don't think anyone is bringing anything that needs watching?
