  1. You're all Sueoholics!! With good reason
  2. Congrats, hope you get your last pass soon We need one more pass for CCD but I am not entering anything until May. So that last pass for us seems like it could be ages away!
  3. I want to book a flight just so I can go!! When is Sue doing another Perth one?
  4. I've heard about Dog Borstal but haven't seen any episodes - how does one get to see it cos I'd love to watch it!
  5. Woohoo! If I had a large yard, I'd look at getting my own equipment too when I finally get back to agility! (I only did it for under a year )
  6. I'm not sure about all the products, but basing pricing on Sentinal Spectrum (white), I'm saving 20 bucks buying online at petproductsontheweb compared to the other links (including the free shipping they give), so anyone else buying online I'd definitely compare prices to this mob! Not sure about the service yet, though, so hopefully it arrives in a decent amount of time Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone, much appreciated!
  7. i-squeaks and Orbee balls have been Lab tested at the park and they pass with flying colours The bounce in these balls creates more fun for the girls. Millie is hilarious, she bounds off all 4 feet at once and is practically evenly horizontal to the ground as she tries to grab one mid air Definitely taking the camera next time Though, one grab at the i-squeak, it was filled with slobber and didn't squeak as well... Both balls are a hit!
  8. Yes I am I saw this message after I ordered online, but I will definitely go and price them and see if they come up cheaper for future purchases. Thanks I have decided on the Sentinal Spectrum (white) for my girls, costing $130 a year per dog from http://www.petproductsontheweb.com.au - saving me approx. $250 per year per dog by not renewing my Wellness Plan with Vetwest.
  9. What's in the C8? ie. what does it cover? I haven't heard of this one.
  10. Thanks for the suggestions everyone Sentinal looks interesting, I might investigate this product further and see if it's suitable for us. The price comparisons are great! Though I suspect it will be more expensive for my dogs who weigh 25kg a piece. Why are "kids" so expensive edit: white is probably what I'd need, and those are good prices!!
  11. I didn't realise C5 was meant to help protect from KC (or did I not interpret you correctly, huski?) because Ruby has had a C5 and then proceeded to catch KC a few months later. My little maltese is 15 years old and hasn't been vaccinated in I can't remember how long And she's a healthy little bugger! (except for infected ears and itchy skin!) So I guess vaccinating yearly seems to be overkill... I trust the opinions and advice of fellow dog owners so probably won't vaccinate my Labs again for another few years. Although, Millie's vaccination has already been paid for in her wellness plan, just needs to have it administered later in the year! After that, that will do her for a while
  12. How often would you need to Titre test to see if a vaccination is required?
  13. That would be really great, thanks!! I found out Titre testing costs $103.40 from VetWest, so I'm guessing that is cheaper than interstate?!
  14. Can anyone please recommend a good online store that sells Heartguard chews, Revolution and worming tablets for a good or wholesale price? (I'm not sure at this stage about what method I will use for heartworm). I usually get mine sent out each month by the vet as part of their yearly "Wellness Plan", but I am thinking of doing it myself this year to see if it works out cheaper (and because their plan includes vaccs and I am now contemplating not vaccinating every year so I will be paying for things I don't need that way!) Also, if you're in Perth and know of any places that sell these things cheaply, I would love to hear of it! I always prefer buying in person but I know you can often get a better deal online - would love a good deal in person! Much appreciated if you can help!!
  15. Thanks Crisovar and Miranda. Part of my research is asking the people on DOL
  16. Thanks for starting this thread, it has just urged me to call my vet and find out exactly what they give my dog. I have an appointment on the weekend for a yearly vaccination and heartworm injection and now having second thoughts!! I found out that they give a C5 injection and use Proheart SR12. So I think I'll go back to monthly heartworm protection, not the injection!! Does anyone advise against using Revolution which includes heartworm treatment? Or would you use one of those monthly chews (and if so, which brand?) And how come people prefer the C3 vac to the C5? From what the vet nurse told me, the only difference between the 2 is that C5 also covers 2 types of canine flu? Now I'm contemplating not even having the vaccination done, but don't have a strong enough and confident enough argument against why I have decided that. I always get beaten down and made to feel like a bad owner when I'm not strong on the facts myself I hope someone can help advise as my appointment is Sunday morning! Thanks
  17. That sounds like a fantastic idea! We're on our 3rd try of Dermotic and Ruby keeps getting the problem coming back, and it keeps changing ears! I'm tired of going to the vet each time just to get another lot of Dermotic, so a DIY solution would be a great help. Approx how much Canestan to saline would I use? Do you need to clean the ears out first before doing this or is this part of the cleaning process? At the moment we clean out with cotton balls and an ear cleaning solution (home made, 80% saline/20% white vinegar) then apply the Dermotic once the ear dries. Would love some further info on the Canestan thing please!
  18. Is that the Natural Balance? One of my girls keeps getting repeat ear infections so I'm keen to try a change of kibble if it might help, and the price is comparable to the premium brands.
  19. I tried the small i-squeaks tonight - fit in the pocket nicely, but probably a bit small. They don't squeak as easy in a big Labrador mouth, and the worry wart in me is scared it will get swallowed! I will try out the mediums on the weekend, I think they'll be a hit  ETA: besides being small, I think Ruby loves them. I threw one for her, then threw the other, then she kept chasing them, dropping one, picking up the other, dropping that, etc, as they just kept on bounching and rolling down the street! (I was training on my front lawn and the balls went bye byes down the street! Definitely a park item I've learnt )
  20. Thanks for the info  I was looking at going there at the start of the year but didn't end up going through with it... maybe next term I will with Ruby and stay on at Southern River with Millie.
  21. Does the advanced training at Gosnells cover more than the Southern River pre-trialling class does?
