  1. Congrats on the titles, Weasels!!! Retrieving training was fun today. Ruby worked her little bum off and she got to learn some new things today Including retrieving me an empty turtle shell
  2. Congrats xena98 and Gabby!!!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
  3. Woohoo!! I can relate with the tugging. Pippa tugs great at home, but at training grounds she won't. Then last Thursday night at training, she was back to tugging almost like she does at home, and did so on several occasions There is hope for her tugging yet
  4. Depending how many pics I take tomorrow I may be interested in this too, could you pm me the details - cheers :) In case you're still looking for the retrieving info, it's at 8.30am at Pullman Park, Upper Swan. Directions sent to us: From Midland travel north on Great Northern Highway. Cross theUpper Swan (Yagan) Bridge. Continue on Great Northern Hwy tillyou cross over the railway line. Very soon after the line, turn right. On your right is a short road that is just a carpark. Just past it on theright is a road ( Hallett Gardens). Go down to the end where there isa carpark. This area is called Pulman Park. We will meet there andthen walk down a sloping track to an area near the Swan River.
  5. I think you're putting way too much thought into it, Erny But for what it's worth, I like "scram" I use "box".
  6. Milliemoo finally pulled off her last pass for her JDX title today with 2nd place in height :D She also got an ADX pass with 1st place in height. It's been about a year since we've gotten an ADX pass because she keeps messing her weave entries! Only 3 more to go
  7. Sorry to hear about Rommi, OSS Her'es hoping for a speedy recovery! CC, there is an agility trial on in Gosnells on Saturday if that's the sort of outing you were after. It's an all day trial.
  8. Thanks showdog and MG :) I currently have photos of my girls on a white background hanging in my hallway (done by my photographer bro-in-law), so I am thinking I am after a black background for the next shoot. Perhaps on a nice big canvas! I hear of people winning their sessions all the time, how is everyone winning and how can I get a piece of the action? Budget is tight too so every penny saved helps!
  9. Well done on your great results, RnH!! Does anybody know how much a Houndstooth Studio portrait sitting and photos would cost? I'd really love a session with my girls. LOVE their photos on the white and black backgrounds :)
  10. Well she's a Masters dog now There's no such thing as TMI on a dog forum in regards to dog bowel movements!!
  11. So I left Ruby outside today while I'm at work (with Millie) - the first time she's been left outside since starting her bee allergy shots. The poor dogs were inside yesterday from 7am to about 5.30pm, I felt so guilty Not a pee in sight, but they were busting as they made a mad dash out when I got home to let them out! I left at 7am again this morning and won't be home til after 5, so I decided I'd leave them out (with access to the back room only). Hope it all goes well! Whether I leave them in or out for extended periods, I worry. Silly isn't it I know Ruby would much rather be sleeping in her bed in my room right about now (no bed access for bed-eating Millie!), but 10+ hours inside makes me uneasy, especially when I know she has a mid morning poo routine! She's so positively busting for #1's and #2's when I get home if she's been inside that she does both at the same time
  12. Yeah mine would also be excited :) Gibbs isn't going to get much bigger, he currently only weighs 29 kgs which isn't big for a male, he is pretty tall tho. But to me Gibbs is the most handsome lab iv ever seen ;) This Lab wasn't very tall and was just on the small size all over, while still looked like a boy. He was beautiful. And yes, Gibbs is very handsome :)
  13. Saw a GORGEOUS yellow lab boy at the airport last night waiting at freight. He wasn't overly big, bit darker than Ruby and just the most gorgeous face. When his owners came to collect him I was tempted to ask where he was from. Except he didn't act overly excited to see them, so I'm wondering if he was perhaps a rescue?? Not sure, but I know if that was one of my two they'd be busting to get out to greet me!
  14. For what it's worth, my dogs have never chewed through anything to get to food, so lets just hope Ruby tells Trixie to either stop it, or to share it, if she tries to get it out
  15. Because mine aren't what I would call agility dogs! Or Ruby
  16. Yeah I know she would be - but try telling mum that!! :p Or I could just go and get my own mini schnitzel
  17. That's it, I'm doing Brissie in 2014 with Pippa whether mum likes it or not!! She is worried that the plane ride won't be good for her. I've told her to come with me so she won't miss her girl too much
  18. amypie, who did the filming and commentary of your finals run? LOVE the support crew, must have been a great feeling to have people cheering you on!!
  19. I'm hoping I can get a dog ready in that time Just such a shame I didn't have one ready in 2010 when it was local!!
  20. A very well done to Ptolomy and her kiddies on the fantastic results and titles in Rally! And to bedazzled on the UD win and Rally title! I didn't get to really watch the Rally Advanced yesterday as I was too busy trying to get dog poo off my shoe!!! And no it wasn't my dogs poo! So it was lovely to watch your video bedazzled :) That Rally Advanced course was SO MUCH FUN :D I am just sad I didn't get to do it. I walked it thinking how much fun it appeared, so I can't wait to actually get through it. Even though Ruby got a 187 and 3rd in Open yesterday, I went home feeling really depressed. UD was a disaster, but we haven't trained in a long time due to studies and then weather, so I forgave her for her major blonde moments in directed jumping where I pulled her out, so I gave her a second chance and put her in Open. Then we got to Rally where the lights were on but nobody was home. I pulled her out at the very first station because she wasn't with it, and I wasn't going to pander to her the entire way round, that is not how I like to do things I'm stuck in a rut, we train fine, but I need to figure out why I can't translate it to trialling. It is all me, I know this, I just can't figure things out. I have Pippa working very nicely, but I am scared I've set her on the same path as my girls where they are too reliant on rewards. Dogs certainly keep US on a variable reinforcement schedule, because days like yesterday I really feel like giving up. But then I have a good day and I remember why I love it so much. Good thing I am a stubborn cow because I don't give up easily :p
