How Long Did Your Clear Run Order Take
RubyStar replied to BC Love's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I emailed them to request a cheaper postage as suggested by a DOL member, and they reduced it from over $35 down to about $18 I placed my order in the 20th of July so should arrive this week I hope. Cheaper postage usually means slower delivery times - hope that doesn't put the mockers on your parcel..... Not necessarily, and depending on what you order. I was the DOLer who recommended to email Clean Run because CR told me that the rates on their website are based on parcel rates of boxed goods. When I wanted to order jump cups, the website quoted me $30 something for postage. When I enquired why so much, they only charged me a few dollars to send it in an envelope and it still got here in approx. 10 days. So it just depends on what you are ordering. -
So it was raining, then? It was pouring here just after 7 so I was glad I decided to stay in. First day of term and all undercover, I can imagine it was very noisy!!

There there, I was just teasing I'm just thankful that the bars took credit cards or I would have been cocktail-less! What did I do to the machines to deserve that treatment? Swallowed all my money and then a woman swoops in after me and claims $121 in a payout! And $50 of chips would make me feel rich

Not raining where I am but that usually changes quickly. Think I might stay in, cook dinner with mum and watch The Amazing Race final :D I was going to come down and bring cake in celebration of Ruby's CDX, though. Will have to do it another time!

I'm not sure

After she's the one who was preaching about getting addicted and gambling too much And she was the first (and only?) one of us to take a trip out to the ATM to get more money for gambling

I think we should go back! And I'm shoving $50 in that lucky machine and going for broke!!!
-
But we had the cocktail drinking down pat!!!

Well I'm enjoying a cuppa watching Friends reruns on TV, living it up! But then meeting my sister later for some shopping and to score my free birthday Boost Juice :D I went to get it last year but realised my licence wasn't in my purse, turned out Bunnings didn't give it back to me when I did a refund so I missed out on my Boost! So licence in hand today, I'm off for my freebie, it's the highlight of my birthday usually Thanks amypie, mirawee, RallyValley and Mason2009 for a great night last night! Wicked was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it! :D Probably the best stage show I've seen (and it definitely beat Cats ;)) mirawee cleaned up at the Casino, lucky duck! I was a big fat loser But the cocktails made up for it!! Edit: so sad to watch Friends these days and realise I'm older than the characters now! They used to be so mature and sophisticated when I was in love with this show as a teen!!!

Instead of sitting at home and aging I want to go out and do something today. Any suggestions? Weather is too awful to take the dogs somewhere. Feel like shopping but might have to go on my own! Boo

Happy Birthday, Buster! I'm only 10 years older than him :D Your puppy is too adorable Candice. I want!!!
-
Massive congratulations, Seita on your OC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is FANTASTIC news!!!!! :D Well done also to TO and Nik on your obedience brags! Small brag here, Millie got her AD title today
-
I call Ruby Millie, Millie Ruby, Ruby Chloe, Chloe Millie, etc etc. They don't seem to care either In the end I just call them "whatever your name is"!
-
I like ST's suggestion of Storm Chaser! Do you call Mason "Mase" for short, though? Would it be a bit confusing with Mase and Chase?

My copy of the Really Reliable Recall DVD has gone walking Does anyone have a copy I can please borrow?
-
I missed the first one. I'd love a seminar revisiting the novice stuff but also addressing the advanced stuff!
-
That method would be dangerous here! If I did that, I'd have at least a dozen separate breeds running round my house at the moment
-
Me too actually! Mid year really sucks for obedience trials.

She sounds so adorable, RV! Can you get any video of her pointing? -
Congrats emery in that case!!

What about Hobbes for your pup's name, Candice? That's cute!!

Similar story to me. I want another gundog so I can do retrieving and I look at other gundogs but then I always come back to the Lab. If I'm going to get a gundog, may as well stick with what I know and love!!

Eye of the Storm? Arctic Storm is good too because of dad being Arctic Tiger.

I can't tell you exactly why I wanted a Labrador growing up. All I can put it down to was the girl who lived around the corner had a Golden Retriever who just looked like so much fun to take out on walks and all I had was a maltese at home who while a lovely dog, wasn't the same kinda fun that the GR was in my eyes (still have the maltese btw! She's 17 now). I wanted my own bigger dog, but I must have seen Labs somewhere and decided that Labs were for me over the GR, which is strange because I always liked long haired breeds over short. Parents wouldn't let me get one. Fast forward to adulthood, I finally got my Labrador after 10+ years of adoring them for no specific reason, except I liked them. Now I won't go a day without a Labrador or two in my life! They just suit me perfectly. Love their love of life, exhuberance, intelligence, ready to go if I am but equally as happy to lay around with me, friendly, not generally a "noisy" breed, and they visually appeal to me. I think I just got lucky that the breed I obsessed over for many years for no reason I can think of except "I liked them", turned out to be the best fit for me, and I want moooooooore of them!!!

But his first place CCD result is in there My girls each have an Open first place result in there too, that blows me away it really does Came down to everyone else bombing out with some bad luck (or the great dogs were not entered), not a case of they actually were deserving of a first place
