Seriously.. It's Humans Who Wreck Dog Park Fun For Dogs
:ange: replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I agree it's very frustrating CW EW... I remember in Perth there was a dog friendly beach where you could take your dogs off lead - glorious. One day I was there with my rambunctious puppy - who at 6 months old didn't have manners. A family with small children were there (without a dog) and their children were terrified of dogs. Really infuriating when your puppy gets sand kicked in its face for going up to the child... There's 100km's of beaches in WA and they have to bring their petrified children to a dog friendly beach... silly. Yes they're entitled to be there.. but seriously! -
24-70 and the 50 1.4. Way too much! I've noticed my shots lacking variety so I'm trying to use other focal lengths a bit more..
-
gorgeous!! I think my favourite is either the couch or the bed shot.. they are all amazing though. Nice work!!

Loving all the pics.. Bec I adore your conversions.. and I LOVE that last pic as well. It's one of those pics that you end up staring at it just a little longer than the others because it's so great. I'm having a complete overhaul of the way I do my conversions.. Still not happy with it but this is one of my latest. stephen by Angela Solling, on Flickr

Lovely pics.. I miss the ocean! I could take a picture of a rock? Ha...

Cute!!

Gapvic, love the tree shot as well!! You've picked it up easily! Little Milla, so cute!! She fell over and took skin off her nose when we were taking photos. Poor little poppet. I can safely say I don't think I will ever sell this lens (unless of course a 1.2L is dropped into my hot little hands one day...) Grrr.. Found the cap yesterday and the new one arrived today.. Guess it's good to have a spare one around..

LML - your practice is definately paying off.. looking tons better already! thanks for the nice words on the photo.. I had more from the set which had the lovely blue sky in it and I was bummed when it had been blown out - but like you said Huga if I'm going to backlight it will blow out. Thanks for the link - some lovely images in there!!

Pity about the blown out sky in this one... Oliver by Angela Solling, on Flickr

The 24-70 L is a magical combo with the 7D - I love it!! It's not called the brick for nothing though!! It's a heavy lens, but you get used to it!! I don't use it at 24mm very much because of the distortion you can get.. If I remember I'll come back and post a pic with the 24-70 teamed with the 7d. Another lens that's worth a mention is the 17-55 IS.. While it doesn't have the red ring, people rave about this lens on crop bodies.. It could be better for you if you are in cramped spaces? The reason I also went with the 7d vs 5d II was because of the shutter speed and focusing system. Will probably add the 5d iii when it comes along!

Lucky Kirislin!! I'm so annoyed at myself for losing the lens cap on my most expensive lens (of course) a couple of weeks back.. Waiting for the replacement to arrive - in which time I'll assume I'll find it!
-
Cute shots Huga and Raineth! Gosh your kids are cute Huga.. makes me think I might like one myself one day soon! Totally loving the 1.4 - I can't seem to get it off at the moment! Cute little girl I had the privelege of practicing on the other day.. LML - because it's a prime lens you have to let your legs do all the work. You will have fun with it..
-
Agreed LML.. get out there right now and use it!!! Ok.. so composition is a bit boring but here's some shots I took this morning of Max with the 1.4 paired with the 7D - I am getting happier and happier everytime I use this camera with this lens!!! These pics are the sharpest I've had yet out of the camera. Happy kid this morning. Ghetto Wei by Angela Solling, on Flickr Max in da hood by Angela Solling, on Flickr ETA one more.. Kirislin you are WAY too hard on yourself.. seriously!!!
-
Great photos!! nicely done CC.. I thought I recognized that insanely manicured - not to mention green - lawn for this time of year!! How I miss the CAWA grounds!!
-
Nice CC.. I love that second and third shot. Huga, I doubt you will look back on your processing and compare it to spot colouring or sepia.. Your processing is very individual (If that makes sense?). It's not what everyone is trying to create and copy and results in that style being done to death. I'm trying to move towards a more 'cleaner' processing with my PP. Work in progress... I only have to look at photos I was taking a few months ago to get the heebies.
-
Congrats Wags!!! It's a great Camera huh? I got mine this week too.. I keep staring at it like it's going to explode. I had to put my 450D in the cupboard.. it made me feel like I was cheating on an old lover
-
I love how your photos have that straight out of an olden movie Huga with the B&Ws - your PP style is becoming very recognizable. I always love your pics Kirislin! FM - that's just a little bit cute!!
-
Nice Shell!! I love the puppy shot.. Katie I LOVE those pics.. they are just so fun!! I wish I got to go to parties like that as a kid! LML - I ended up buying from CamerasDirect, although a bit more expensive than DWI. I have bought multiple lenses and other things from DWI and never had a problem. Go for it. You will love the lens!! So tomorrow arrived.. but it delivered some nasty weather.. yuk. Anyway I put my beanie on and headed out with Max. Ruby HATES having her pic taken but Max has learnt that camera = food. Ruby just hates being told to sit still. So here is Max. Sad it's winter much? lovely Bec.. loving your processing. My 50mm 1.4 arrived yesterday - along with my 7D!! Downside is that I have been so flat out working that I haven't had it out yet (except for taking a photo of the margarine...) tomorrow = happy ange.

Can't beleive this thread is on the 4th page!!! I upgraded my 1.8 to the 1.4 today.. now just have to sit and wait for said upgrade to arrive. c'mon... someone would have some pics somewhere!!
