Suki's mum, I am so very sorry for your loss. Suki looked like she was a beautiful little girl. Don't be upset that you didn't get to say goodbye, she knew you loved her. :rolleyes:

He might have an enlarged prostate gland. Male dogs have one, just like humans. It might not be kidney failure. Hopefully, it won't be too serious.

My old boy Clowny who was PTS in 2004 had congestive heart failure. He was diagnosed about two years before he died. He was on Frusemide and he was given human Slow-K to replace the potassium lost. He was also on Fortekor to strengthen the heart beat (make it pump more effectively). He was really well until the last six months. Eventually the fluid started to build up more (it used to pool in his abdomen). For the last six months he had to go to the vet's about once a month and have the fluid drained from his abdomen. He was fine with it, he was always smiling. The vet adored him. One day, he just couldn't get up. We took him to the vet's and she told us it was time. Hopefully you will have plenty more time with your girl.

I am so sorry for your loss. My cockatiel is 12 years old and although he is really well, I am starting to wonder how much longer we will have him. I will be devastated when he dies, so I understand how you must be feeling. I hope Sonoma will be all right. Spend as much time with him as you can.

Nik&Jerz, I am so sorry about Sunshine. Cockers are such very special little ones aren't they? I know how you feel. We had to have our special cocker boy Clowny put to sleep when he was almost 14 and I was devastated. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

i give Brianna a fish oil capsule every day. I pierce the top of it and squirt it into her mouth. She obviously doesn't mind the taste as she always comes and sits next to me for it when she sees what I am doing.

It has been a long three months for you. I still think of you and your gorgeous Annie often. I hope that the pain starts to ease soon and that your new little girl is bringing you much joy.

What a very special little dog! I am so pleased he left this world loving someone and knowing he was loved! Thank you for giving him a family for his last few months on earth!

After having to say goodbye to our thirteen and a half year old boy (who we had owned since the second he was born), I know how you feel. It is devastating, you feel like a part of you has died. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and Michael, and Joey, who I am sure will miss Jenna terribly. ;) :D

I use Interceptor Spectrum. It is great, effective and we have had no problems at all.

How very sad for you to lose your poor little girl! Give yourselves time to get over losing the poor little one and then I am sure you will find another special puppy who is just waiting to become part of your family.
