A few weeks ago I asked if my younger sister could model for me at the Botanic Gardens when I would get my 5D MK II. Well, yesterday was the day and the weather was perfect!! Im getting used to the camera as its a completely different format from my 450D. I am truely in love with it! These are just a few shots taken (took about 280 in just over an hour). All photos were taken with the Canon 24-70mm 2.8L. I'll just add that these were my first posed model shots and her first time doing anything like this! After a little bit of guidance with poses, she picked it up really well! :p

One of my cavs had corneal ulcers when she got scratched by a branch or something outside. I took her to the vet on both occasions straight away when I saw her squinting and she was prescribed antibiotics and eye cream to prevent infection. The vet did an eye stain test which showed an ulcer caused by a scratch on both occasions. Thank goodness she has been ok ever since :D Eyes are too precious, always get them checked out. Hope your little man is ok.

Well, my 5D Mark II is now here and I havent been able to play with it due to the crappy weather we have been having!!! I thought I would just put up one of the pics I took this afternoon. I have so much to learn about this camera, so far... I love it!! Cant wait til the weather is nicer to play with it more!

Kirislin, yeah I have the 1.8 and 1.4 which ill now be giving the 1.8 to my OH. Katie, I havent had much time to play with it but from what I could tell, im getting slighly sharper images and the colour seems to be a bit more vibrant (before my own editing). I need to play with it more! Also, I do like the more sturdy design.

Looks ARE deceiving. She is the cheekiest monkey I know!

Please dont delete any you think are horrible. I dont think any are but it's what you think that counts, but even so, it shows a learning curve that could be encouraging and inspirational to others and will remind you of how far you've come. It's not a sin to be a learner. Na I definitely wont delete them but its just amazing to see what I thought was 'good' then to what I think is 'good' now. Im forever learning and im sure this time next year ill say the same thing!

I have just read through the entire thread and saw some of my earlier pics, they are horrible I have been inspired to get out and get more pics posted here! My 1.4 should be arriving shortly, just checked tracking and its on the delivery van WOO!
