I went into Diamonds Camera's here in Adelaide last week as I wanted to get a price for the 100mm 2.8 macro. He only had one left and said that they were being replaced by the L series 100mm 2.8 macro. So Im probably going to buy online next week on my pay day. This sounds like a really fun challenge! Im hoping to buy the Canon 100mm 2.8 macro next pay day too!! Im heading to Perth and the south west coast for a week in January too so lots of nice photo opportunities!

I have 'Understanding Exposure' by Bryan Peterson and 'The Digital Photography Book' by Scott Kelby. Both of which I recommend highly and have learnt alot from. Mine is just the 1.8. BEST $150 I ever spent! I barely take it off my camera.. That is until im lucky enough to get the 100mm 2.8. I have decided thats my next one! I second this, barely comes off my camera too Got mine for $130 at JB Hi-Fi, bargained it down 100mm 2.8 is also on top of my list, followed by possibly the 70-200mm EFS
