Our first advertisement for the petition has been published in the local paper... This is just the small one. There's going to be a 1/4 page ad next week. So hopefully we'll get a good response from locals. And, needless to say, if you haven't signed the petition as yet, please do so by following the link: http://www.gopetition.com.au/petitions/ces...imal-pound.html

Thanks enormously for signing. And for leaving a comment. They're just as important

Excellent stuff And you're spot on about it being about cats as well. In fact 8 kittens went into rescue from Kurri over the weekend.

BTW if there's any Facebook users out there, there's a new "cause" there called "Help The Animals At Kurri Kurri Pound". It's currently got 145 members & building. Here is the address: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/445182/117945782?m=71bb3202 So all you Facebookers, please join it ;)

And speaking of Face Book there's a new "cause" there called "Help The Animals At Kurri Kurri Pound". It's currently got 140 members & building. I don't know if this address will work, but here it is: http://apps.facebook.com/causes/445182/117945782?m=71bb3202 So all you Facebookers, please join it

Thanks for that

Well we're just over the 375 mark, but there's still a long way to go...
-
Excellent Yes you can. Also for other members of your house provided they agree of course.

Great to hear it finally worked. Maybe it's some security feature on your new computer. I found all sorts of frustrating things when I got mine a few months ago - especially with Explorer so I gave up using it & went to Firefox. And again thanks for putting it on cat world because they're just as affected, by what happens at the pound, as are the dogs
-
Sorry about that. I hope it isn't a serious problem & as you say it's putting other people off. Let me know how you do at your work computer & if there's still some hassle I'll make an enquiry with the GoPetition website.
-
Excellent Yes we need as many signatures as possible to put pressure on council to do something.
-
We're almost at 350, but we need many, many more signatures. So please sign the petition here @ http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/cessno...imal-pound.html, if you haven't already, & pass it on to everyone you know. Thanks

Excellent. And dont forget to tell everyone you know about the petition
-
Thanks And here's a couple of more of the girl when she was an inmate. Notice the difference I was lucky enough to see her go yesterday morning, although I must admit I had teary eyes...

I just like to pass on, for those who maybe not aware already, that the cattledog pup, who sparked off the petition due to being stolen from the pound, was found again last week. Anyway she went into rescue care yesterday (Tuesday 16/02) & is now having the time of her life on a farm on the Central Coast. I named her Petition, but her carer has named her Nulla. Here's some pics of the pup who could change the world - well the Cessnock part of it at least... Photos curtesy of the carer Needless to say please sign Petition's petition if you haven't already. And please tell everyone you know about it. Here's the website address: http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/cessno...imal-pound.html

Oh that's odd. Alas I have no control over that website. Could you try again? It may have something to do with the "compulsory fields" as against the "optional" ones. Other than that, about the only other advice I can give is to ensure you type exactly the verification code as displayed, & that the "compulsory fields" have been completed. I know that's probably not much help, but as said I have zero control over the petition website. And yeah, please spread the word to everyone you know. That'd be fantastic HAR have been informed, along with other such groups, but a remainder wouldn't go astray

Excellent Thanks for that

Many, many thanks SoL & mona Every signature counts
