How Much Do You Pay For Titre Testing
Bonnie N Her Aussie replied to ~Midniara~'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
"Titre testing is a method of assessing whether or not a dog has immunity to certain diseases by measuring the antibodies in the blood by means of a blood test. Then owners can decide whether or not to vaccinate depending on degree of existing immunity without the risk of over-vaccination. " - http://www.dogtalk.co.uk/vaccination.php This is also a good read http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.../titer_test.htm -
I know what you mean. I have a 6 month old girl, and a 9 week old boy. So i'm there, and I've been there. What I did with Millie was when she would bite my hand, I would press down under the tongue untill she yelped and then ignored her for 30seconds. With Cooper, I've been yelping, as this is only his first week home. have you been into the Aussie thread yet? That's where all us who have aussies talk about them and share photos. it's good for learning things as well. Best of luck with Lili. If you lived over my way she could play with Cooper and Millie. Shame. You should still go to the thread and post pics though. :p With her jumping up and nipping the clothing, you could try pinning her on her side laying down for about 30seconds untill she calms down and firmly say "NO" or "CALM". I pin Millie when ever she jumps, I find it more succesfull then the knee raise and ignore.

Have you been preparing her for her night time sleeps? for example; taking her into the room that the crate is in with the crate door open and ignoring her at times (maybe she'll head into it for a toy) and playing with her it in too (so she's not thinking it's punishment). When she does go in there for the night, what time are you putting her in there, and what are you doing with her in the hour leading up to it. How dark is the room, and how warm? Are their other sounds, - ticking, radio? is she able to play in there with soft toys, and reach her water? Maybe you could fill a kong ball. Try feeding her ONLY in her crate and locking her in there for 20minutes and leaving the room while she eats. I don't really know what else to suggest. but best of luck

That seems to be the case with Summer. for example- i just had to change my bed cos she piddled on it whilst playing with my other young dog. I put her back in the crate and a few whinges i just carried on and shes asleep now and im in the study across the hall. Would any of you suggest a puppy pen or continue with the crate? I'd continue with the crate.

I have an Australian Shepherd pup. She's 6 months old. I feed her Purina Pro Plan Puppy Formula. It gives her this beautiful coat and gloss, her teeth are lovely and her breath is not nasty She doesn't put on weight from it or loose weight either. I also give her alot of chicken necks, kangaroo meat and rice/vegetable mix. Purina over here is $104.00 for 17kg which lasts up to two months. I get it freighted to me from over 400kms away and it sets me back another $18.00 postage. -
How would one go about finding a Kangaroo hunter? - Hm. Well who would you complain to if there was one in your property for example? Maybe the council could have some contacts for you? I'm really not sure, Our neighbor just knocked on my door and asked me if i wanted some each week or whatever. I love it.

My neighbor shoots em, skins em, bags em and delivers within about 3 hours of killing them. That's fresh! Kangaroos are a pest here, and he has all the legal permits etc needed to do it. instead of diposing of an entire kangaroo - I get the tails and legs for Millie.

Has Pro Plan Changed?
Bonnie N Her Aussie replied to Luke GSP's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I find that Purina Pro Plan makes my girl fatten up quickly if that's all she's being fed, so I'd say I'm getting the exact opposite affect. -
