  1. Wow I didnt even know that was a possibility. I would be interested in talking to my vet about that too, for a natural flea relief that is not so much heartworm.
  2. Hi Westimum I am trying a new product for arthritis called Reflex Liquid, it has the same ingredients as Joint Guard (I looked into this one as well as my friend's dog is on it) but I just thought the liquid would be easier as I feed dry food. So far so good, they will eat the liquid from the spoon if I let them! I found another liquid for arthritis called Flexicose but it didnt have any where near as much glucosamine or chondroitin in it and this one has MSM too. From my internet research liquids are much better absorbed than powders and tablets so I figure this was a good thing to? My husband takes glucosamine and chondroitin for his knees and he swears by it but it is a powder so he is considering taking the liquid too, only thing is it is beef flavoured so not sure how that will go in his orange juice I bought my first bottle online for $53 plus postage.
  3. I've been giving pigs ears to my old boy for many years without a problem
  4. I hope all is well with your dog, I can't offer any advice but just hope it works out ok for you and your friend
  5. I just tried feeding Billy his liquid straight in the bowl no food and he licked it straight up! Such a pig, it does have a slight smell like a beefy smell but its not too bad. I havent smelt Sashas Blend but this one seems ok. Is Ester C a form of vitamin C? Is there any reason why you dont give Vitamin C to a dog? I thought an ester was a form of alcohol!
  6. I just started my old fella on a liquid called Reflex that I found online at Vet Stop (where I buy my flea products) and it has glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM. My vet just said find a product with all three of these in it and I find the liquid is great because i feed dry food so it just goes straight onto it. All the other products i found were powder which i find irritating to give. I have only just started it recently but will let you know how it goes. I also bought this one as it is made in Australia.
  7. I know it is pretty amazing, well we think that is how old he is, the vet's estimate is 18-20 I have looked on the net and found a glucosamine and chondroitin liquid for dogs called reflex, has anyone used this one? Its in the online stores and seems to be reasonably priced, but doing a search on this forum I couldnt find anything. Can anyone tell me if they have used it?
  8. Hi I'm new to the forum, I have an old JRT he is nearly 20 almost deaf and almost blind but still going strong! He is still quite active for his age, but recently he has started limping on and off. I assume due to his age it is arthritis and have booked him in to see the vet, but thought in the meantime I woudl try and do some research as my neighbours dog has arthritis and is on Sasha's Blend but she doesnt think it does much. I did a search here and found a number of products, but most are powders and I feed kibble and dont want to change his diet. Are there any tablets that you can give or liquids to pour on to the food or is it only powders that you can get?
