OK wont be at the Jan 3rd one as i will be about 50 nautical miles off shore fishing... But will endevour to get to the Feb one.. Hope you all had a happy and safe New year EVE party.. Iknow that I am still recovering as we didnt go to bed till New Years Day at 2pm heheh

Although I would love to I just dont think I can bring myself to come today even if i bought along Holly & Gemma Mums dogs.. I just wanted to have a brag about my boy.. Sabre is a 17 month old border collie that I have had as a fur kid since he was 8 weeks old. We have been going to obedience class since he was 3 months old. Just last night we graduated from Grade 3 and go onto Grade 4 next week. Now most people wnt think this is a big deal but you need to know that this dog has been though hell in the last 2 months.. My now EX beat him around the head (his disaplin) for jumping the fence I was also assulted when I went o the aid of Sabre.. Now this is a mormaly sweet dog at the best of the times. BUt follingthe attack he became very timid and scared of any loud noises and especially men and their voices.. I have been slowly gettinghim used to men again and introducing him to new males so that he may begin to trust them again.. Last night on a a truly windy night Sabre exceded himsllf with a perfect exam even though he was surounded by lots of dogs and handlers many being male.. I am a proud mum and am looking forward to taking his training further to hopefully agility training in the future.. ANY way thats is just my bragg from one proud mum

I am sorry to announce that YELLOWGIRL has lost her little Chester. The poodle passed over on Wednesday due to a ruptured disk in his back leaving him paralized. An incident occured at a dog park when he collided with another dog. He yelped atthe time but was back rnning and playing withing minutes. However the next day Jo woke to find him by her bed paralized and scared. A frantic rush to the vet told her that a disk had ruptured making the vertabra collapse. Jo had only just welcomed a new member to the family a Rescue Chinese Hairless called Madeline. She is now of great comfort to Jo even though Chester will be greatly missed. My heart and thoughts go out to you Yellowgirl

Ok my first brag for this thread. Sabre 5 mnths graduated from puppy to Level 1 at southern districts this morning with Top of the class results. Including a stand that he kept till walk on. Considering he has only attended 2 formal lessons makes me one proud mummy. So next week its Grade 1 and I get a sleep in cause it starts at 10am (thankgod I can recover from any possible hangovrs) Here's a latest pik of my baby

Hey Shoshana Any chance i could borrow tha DVD to copy it. Sabre's recall is apalling if he is inntencely playing with a dog atthe beach. I want him to be able to run free but stil come back to me when I call instead of me having to go to him.. PM me if thats possible..

thanks for all the feed back. I never realised what problems i could cause. I will continue to feed his kibble for breakfast and just give him raw at night.

Sabre is 18 weeks old now. Thanks for the tea remedy I use this if it continues. Today he seems fine so may be just dust as GRG said. As for his boy bits... They seem ok today too so as I said thinki ws worrying a bit. And yup GRG he is getting so big. Cant wait till next SA DOL meet to show him off.

just a quik update. Looking at him now there is no discharge in his eyes and his penis hair is white as it should be,,,, maybe i am an over worried mummy

I am just asking for opinions. My BC Sabre seems to be having a lot of muck in his eyes the last few days. I wipe it away about 3 to 5 time s aday. Its not sticky but is sometimes green in colour.. Do dogs get conjunctivitis? Also and this is a weird Question I know. Being A BC he has fairly longish hair. His penis has a fair bit of hair leading of the end of it that i am sure he uses to aim with but latley i have noticed sometimes that the hair is either yellow in colour or a slight green tinge where the hair is stained? Shoudl I be worried?

I know itsslightly of topic but I have been reading a few threads on the BARf diet and have a couple of questions to those in the know. does BARf mean Bones and raw food or Biscuits and raw food? I have been feeding my pup on a puppy loaf and Supacoat dry since i got him and have been thinking of changing to raw meat but still mixing it with the supacoat. this being so cause i was alwasy told that the dry foods helps keep their teeth gums and jaw muscles healthy as they need to crunch and chew it. Am I wrong in thinking this? I already give him bones from on a semi regualr basis too. The only prob there so far is he tends to either dig to china burying them or insists on bringing them into the house *edited cause i cant spell*
