  1. thanks minimax....just tried that & I was still left with nothing It will unzip it to a new folder, usually named the same as the zip file or wherever you specify, so you'll then end up with two folders, one zipped and one unzipped. Your file will be in the unzipped one. You have to download the file first and save it to your computer. I have found the unzipped one, but still can't open it Thanks for your help...I feel like throwing the thing out the window.

  3. I have been receiving the digital version of Clean Run now for 4 years & have never had any problem saving it to my desktop....it has been coming as "Installer Package" but this month's one is in a Zip File & I am having no luck. Here is the response I got from Clean Run & NXTbooks Below is the response we received from NXTBook regarding the zip files. “It opens using Adobe Air. She needs to have version 3.7 of Air installed. She also needs to be online. She should be able to download the executable file instantly but if she only has the option to download the zip file then within the zip file she'll need to click on the executable file to open the book. I was going to post this in the "Off Topic" but thought it might reach more people here :)
  4. Maintenance dose for dogs 15 to 30 kilos is 2 scoops (5g) per day which equals 10 capsules. So with my dog who weighs 18 kilos, I divided 5 x 30 = .16g per kilo of dog, so 18 kilos = 2.88 grams per day, which is 1.15 scoops or 6 capsules. I am giving her the powder which works out a lot more economical than capsules when you can get it for $60 per 500grams. Thanks!! So how is she doing on the product? KP. She has just about finished the first lot of 500gs & I havn't seen her limp for about three months now. I just sprinkle it on her dinner....it actually taste quite good. I have mine sprinkled on my cereal & yogurt. :)
  5. Even if you pay $100 including postage for 500g of Rose Hip Vital Canine (& there are a lot cheaper than that) it is still almost half the price of buying capsules. 500grams is equivalent to 1000 capsules. I have been on it now myself for 10 days & am just starting to feel the effect
  6. Well done & lovely photos, especially the last one :)
  7. Susan Garrett feeds raw, she cuts up pieces of chicken necks for training. Depends on what you are training...but to cut up chicken necks into tiny little pieces for training would be impossible. They would be OK for big, easy to see rewards, like throwing at the end of the weave pole. I wouldn't use raw chicken, though, as the thought of maybe me getting salmonella from handling the raw chicken, which may have been out of the fridge for a while & would be all over my hands etc. If you use something like a chunker ( I fry mine in garlic oil), you can either break it into tiny pieces or throw the whole thing, depending on what you are training. I'm just saying what she does, not that I would do it :) They are not tiny little pieces she uses. I saw her use them in the online contact course she ran. Her dog in training gets all of his dinner through training. I also don't like the idea of handling raw meat for treats myself, but if you are really keen on only feeding raw it can be done. Maybe a bit of raw steak...but chicken, I couldn't do. Maybe she carries around a little packet of antibacterial wipes in her pocket.

  9. I used to give my two border collies 18 kilos & 22 kilos, both one tablespoon a day.
  10. OH DEAR....maybe I shouldn't have put the link up...he has been rushed I will send him a message & see if he is getting any more. Otherwise the nearest to his price is about $30 more including postage

  12. Raw turkey neck in the morning & kibble at night with either a raw egg, or steak, or fish & topped with homemade chicken, beef or fish stock. No problems & dogs are looking great.
  13. I have raised both my dogs on Black Hawk & couldn't be happier. There are also lots of GOOD reviews on BH too, though the bad ones seem to get all the attention. My youngest boy, border collie, I raised on BH Adult from the day I got him at ten weeks on advice from breeders & people here on DOL. The best food for your dog is the one your dog does best on, & sorry I have no experience with your breed of pup :) Going by the surveys conducted here on DOL, from time to time, Black Hawk is the one dry that most people use, so there must be some happy people out there
  14. Our two ride with the back seats folded down & are secured by their safety harnesses connected to the cargo barrier behind them. The young guy is notorious for chewing through his harness & recently went through three in one weekend I have now made him up a harness made of chain. Last week at training I left the two of them in the car with the keys in the ignition. As it started getting dark, I walked past my car & the headlights came on....of course....who was sitting in the drivers seat....my boy Cricket. :D He had somehow stood on the keys that turned on the ignition & the headlights work on a sensor system, so on they came. He thinks he is more clever than Flynn in the Jeep ad.
  15. Sorry Ness...I must have had a brain block...forgot to include the link. This guy off Ebay
  16. Rose Hip Vital Canine 500g for $60.00 plus $8.00 postage. I just bought some off this guy, to replenish the dog & will keep the human one for myself. I was surprised that the powder tasted quite good sprinkled on my cereal :)
  17. We have a lack of puppies at our club, ATM so I think it will be more one on one, but that's OK to start. It will be more foundation for performance but will take in lots of other stuff too, just not the strict "obedience" type stuff, which I think only helps to demotivate some dogs. If it's 1 on 1, the class will only go for about 25 minutes as my other class starts after that. But I am hoping it is something that will catch on. :)
  18. Yeah...sorry I got a little confused there as I havn't seen the DVD yet & Clean Run do have others soley on tugging & I havn't seen the article where people were commenting on the DVD. I first picked up the link from the Awsome Pup Challenge Facebook group, where Allison was talking about it. I havn't heard anything negative about it, only good. :)
  19. Yes, I have had it for a long, long time & had forgotten about it till I saw it on special on C/R & it is good, worth the money. I also have Foundation Fundamentals DVD & the book The Focused Puppy, which are also excellent, but unless you can get them in Australia, the postage from US is too much, though sometimes they will give you a special price on postage if you ask. I am planning on starting up a "puppy agility foundation" class at our club, when we can gather a few puppies, so am after all the info I can get. The "Pup 2 Perfection" was recommended to me for this purpose :) The idea of starting up the class, is so I can get my "puppy fix" without having to get another puppy
  20. Hi Whitka, see my thread titled "Pup 2 Perfection"...it is on free shipping from Clean Run & has been highly recommended to me, even though I don't have a pup, I just had to get it  "The PreSports Puppy" is on special at the moment for $19.95 & is also on Free Shipping from Clean Run. PreSports Puppy by Rachael Saunders :)
  21. Yep, that's the one. I had already ordered my copy when all the complaints started coming on the CR list - glad that I had already ordered it or I might have thought twice about it. For a very narrow viewpoint, it's true that it pretty much is nothing but tugging BUT I loved it. First DVD I've seen where all the exercises are filmed in 'real life' with real life distractions, baby crawling around on the floor while she is working with pup, plus out and about in all different enviroments. Really shows the importance of being able to swap between toys, tugs and food, plus working through distractions and the importance of getting everything into different environments. Plus beginning recalls, retrieves, etc. If you did Puppy Peaks and liked it then you'll like this. Pretty much a condensed version of a lot of the early stuff relating to reinforcement that Susan did with Swagger but with a bit of an individual slant on some of it. Sorry KC...but which one are you talking about...the tugging one or Pup 2 Perfection
  22. To him it probably smells of "death" so he is obviously very aware of it. B & B is good for keeping possums away
