Not sure how this really made the news....when you go to =0800"]The PetHomeStay website it seems they have no sitters. Strange, seeing that is supposed to be a world wide organisation

You might be interested in having a read of some info about joining Airbnb For Pets. From what I can gather hosts are covered by the insurance from the organisation. See a thread I just started :)

It may be something she was taught & highly reinforced in her past life. My guys do a lot of walking backwards, when they think it might earn them a treat :)

They have very sharp teeth & can chew through harnesses in seconds, so travelling in a crate while he is still young may be a better option.

Someone on our local small community Facebook page was advertising Staffy pups just before Christmas for $100 each...poor little mites . So if that's all the bitch's owner is going to get for the pups, then it was a very expensive exercise & hopefully both of you have learnt that there is more to breeding a litter of pups than sticking two dogs together. Oh...& on the same FB page someone was complaining that they hadn't received the stud fee for using their rare blue staffy ...different litter...different people.

How much does he weigh ??? Rose Hip Vital Canine is what a lot of people swear by. I give it to my guys as a preventative. If you do a search you will find a few threads on it here on DOL.

There are some Steggles Factory shops in NSW... Steggles Factory Shopswhere you can buy the turkey necks wholesale. Non near me, unfortunately, so I have to buy mine from Woolies.

Turkey necks... providing you have a feel of the bag & get the big ones. I find this time of the year (Christmas) they all seem to be not much bigger than a large chicken neck, but they are usually so big that I have to chop them in half for my guys. Sometimes I feed them straight out of the freezer.

I just mixed some of this up & sprayed inside their kennels with it to deter the mozzies & just had a read of the ingredients on the cheap mouthwash. It contains xylitol Hope they don't lick it off !!

I got mine from here Funky Paws My guy (desexed) used to lift his leg in the house. Not often but he still did it. Got his a funky paws belly band & only had to use it a couple of times. He never peed in the band & has never peed in the house again If he is going to be in the house for a really long period of time, (like bad weather) I will still put it on him, just in case.

From what I am aware you have to be a Primary Producer. Our dogs qualify for free registration, but we just open a gate & rattle the lock to get our cows to move to a different paddock. I am not sure if maybe they only qualify if they don't move from off the farm...must look into that one day.

I must go & test the sensor in ours...maybe put a pillow in the window or something. Even it the window stopped at a point, a dog or kids could still do some damage trying to instinctively pull their head in Mine arn't loose either in the back seat. They wear harnesses that are attached to the cargo barrier, but can still put their head out the window if it is down.

Yes..this has happened to me one day while OH was driving. The back windows were partially down as we had been sitting in the shade. When we drove off, he automatically pushed the button on the rear windows & my girl had her nose out. Fortunately she screamed & I screamed & OH rectified it. No damage, but now when the car starts up, I notice she looks to the front, not out the window. Very frightening, so now we make a habit of putting up the rear windows before we move off...checking first that neither dog has his nose out. I am surprised there is not a sensor on them What happens if a child has his fingers in the window when it is closed.??

Casino is in Northern NSW. Maybe the dog has contracted something from Flying Foxes

In the state's north police have tasered and attempted to shoot a mad dog which attacked a number of people. Around midday the local council's rangers called for back up from police after a number of people were bitten near the Casino hospital. Inspector Doug Conners from the Richmond Command said the dog was particularly nasty and rangers had trouble catching it. "It was a very, very aggressive dog, it was foaming at the mouth and it was just highly agitated, it appeared to be very aggressive," Inspector Conners said. Two police officers tried to assist rangers in catching the dog but were also attacked. One officer struck the animal with a taser but that had little effect. The dog continued and attacked the second officer who shot at the dog. "We're uncertain if the round struck the dog but certainly the dog ran and it didn't stop the dog, it took off and hasn't been sighted since," he said. Police are warning people to be on the look out for the grey Shar-Pei German cross. The animal was last seen on the corner of Colches Street and Canterbury Street, Casino. My link
