I really like that one with the mesh window. However they want almost $70 A in postage to ship to Australia We are getting a new car so I want to get a good cover to stop the border collie hair getting all over the carpet. I gather the Hammock style ones would help stop the hair falling on the carpet.

Yes I was looking at the windowed one but it is an American website...Do they ship to Australia?? We are getting a new (2nd) car & really want to keep it clean

I have been using Nexgard for years with my two border collies. I live in a bad area for ticks. They have never had an adverse reaction to it, I havn't seen a tick on them since I started using it & I don't have to keep them out of the water for four days a month like I did when they were on Advantix.

I use Nexgard Spectra for my two border collies. I have been using Nexgard for years. It does fleas, ticks & most worms including heartworm. Never had a problem with it & havn't seen a flea or tick since using it even though I am in a high tick area

I have two K9 crates. They are fabulous. Sadly after many years,in my haste to get it erected, I have snapped the frame. I wonder If I can get a new frame for it ??

She is 10, always been the ideal weight & active. yes maybe she might have been worse if I hadn't given it too her, but It has got me wondering if maybe I would have been better spending my money on something better. Her parents were hip scored..the Vet explained that this does not necessarily help only with generational breeding. She leads a very active life with lots of swimming, has her Masters Agility titles & lots of free running around the farm. She loves to chase & spin though & maybe this has been her undoing. To look at her you wouldn't notice, just that she is very hesitant to jump into the car & has lost interest in agility so she is retired from agility.

Carprofen but she had to have a blood test done first for kidney disease. Lucky that came back 100% OK

My girl has been on Rose Hip Vital now for 7 years just as a preventative. Yesterday she was diagnosed with arthritis in both hips & knees. I am beginning to think I have wasted my money along with 7 years where I could have been using something else. She is now on those "For Life" pills that make her feel like a puppy again, but her exercise has to be reduced

They thought she might have had cruciate damage, but thankfully, couldn't find any, so no op is necessary. She does however, have osteo arthritis in both hips. So now she is on those magic pills for ever & a day. She thinks she is a puppy again. So much for giving her Rose Hip Vital everyday for 7 years

I use Fidos soap free with emu oil & also the essential dog ones on my own hair. One of my dogs hasn't been bathed in 6 years. They swim a lot in the dam & the family pool. Seems to keep them pretty clean

Thanks everyone. I took her water away first thing this morning & told the vet when I took her in. She assured me that was fine. Bindi was so excited when she got to the vets...jumping & spinning around, like she had never had a sore leg. She has always liked going to the vets. It was a different face though when I handed over the lead & told her to be good & I would see her later

My girl is booked in for xrays under a GA for the morning. I got a message from the vet late this afternoon to remind me that she is to fast from 6 tonight. I gave her an early dinner, but it is so hot & looks like it will be a hot night. It seems cruel to not let her drink water....but what do you do. The vets are closed,so I can't get hold of them

That was my first thought....the dogs can't be getting much enjoyment out of it. When I walk my dogs it is a walk for the dogs...a chance to "check the local paper" .

My dogs will do it when they are happy, especially straight after a meal. They will rub their face on the carpet mainly, but if they keep it up then I check cause in the past they have had a stick or a bone caught across their pallet.

Yes that is what I have always believed, but I know of one dog, a red border collie without any papers or pedigree, (according to the owners) has managed to get on the SR without even having seen a sheep & they are going to run it in Dogs NSW trials entire & are intending to breed with it. To me this just seems so wrong. I know of someone else with a dog that looks like it could be a kelpie but has no pedigree & they have registered it with the SR. Fortunately that dog is desexed, but once again it has never seen a sheep. If this sort of thing is going on, where is the protection for breeders selling their dogs on Limited Register??

I would have thought that for a dog to be registered on the Sporting Register, it would have either had to have a pedigree or be an active member of sheep herding. It seems I am wrong and any dog that calls itself a border collie or a kelpie can be registered on the SR & be allowed to be bred from & registered with dogs NSW without being desexed. What is the point of having these registries if people are taking advantage of them.

It doesn't matter if she moves out of position after you click & before you deliver the treat. If she understands the click, then she will know that it is the click that is marking the precise moment that earned the reward not the reward itself. Just make sure that you treat EVERY time you click so that the clicker retains its value.

Maybe there are more aussies around that are looking more & more like BC's
