I have had a bit of a go, but to get anything really decent, I think it should be mounted on a tripod, for best results, as no matter how hard I try, I am a bit shakey.

Just a thought, but maybe someone linked to your post office, Sherel, has a very hungry dog Can't wait to get more details of the new range of products.

On the subject or terriers... I met a fellow at agility with a Border Terrier. It was a lovely dog & he said he chose that breed because unlike other terrier breeds, the Border does not dig and is not a problem barker. Can anybody confirm this ??? Sounds too good to be true.

Which Dry Dogfood Does Your Dog Like Best?

My two border collies are on Black Hawk & they love it so much I mix it in with their training treats. -
"A Good Dog" by Jon Katz...the story of Orson, who changed my life. A true story about the author when he took in a troublesome 2yo border collie & their journey together as he tried to change an incredibly loyal but incredibly badly behaved dog & how it turned his life upsidedown. WARNING....you will need a box of tissues for this one

You certainly were busy, Tailwag, & nice to meet you. I think we would have done better, if I didn't have 6 jumpers on & a couple of pairs of pants to keep the cold out I felt Bindi gave me 100% but I let her down several times lucky for me she is a very forgiving dog ;) -

Don't say one day.......You know Rory wants to meet Wooness.... ;) The venue is AMAZING. Thursday night a number of people literally had their tents destroyed by a storm, but were still able to camp in stables (eewwwwww) and run their dogs. I think we had about 2500 runs over the 4 days and finished ahead of time each session. Come on Tassie.....make it a date.....the long weekend next October & you can stay on & do the weekend ANKC at Armidale. You know you are allways welcome at our place. ;) -
Black Hawk does not contain these ingredients either, so Artemis is not the only one....

Sherel is at the Melbourne show at present & hasn't got her lap top with her....at least that was the message from a few days ago, but yes, as Oso Swift says, there is one in Canberra.

Hve just been in contact with Sherel (Black Hawk) & there is NO ADDED Salt in Black Hawk. Also she said to tell anyone that has been trying to contact her for the last week or so, that she has been at the Melbourne Show for the past 10 days & has been without her laptop computer.

We're almost packed...well enough for tonight anyway. Dogs are all scrubbed up & have put themselves to bed. Think I might go too.... -
I do respect your opinions, Poodlefan, I really do, but PA did not say she had taken her dogs off it & the drinking stopped, she said she was going to take them off it, so until she puts them back onto another food we will not know. I also put my two onto it cold turkey, even a 10 week old puppy & neither had any problems. But that is what is advised by vets etc when changing foods or introducing new ones. It is strange that both her dogs had excessive drinking, maybe one got the excessive drinking & the other one copied the behaviour....I have seen that many times before, especially after playing. One dog will rush to the water bowl & the other can't wait to have a go too.

Excessive drinking in dogs can be caused by roughly 67 different conditions...I would like to know what is, if any, connection with feeding them BH. Also, do they urinate more??? Have they been switched over too quick??? What were they eating before BH & for how long were they being fed XYZ??? What are they eating with it & how much BH do they get???? What treats do they get...it may be a combination of something else they are being fed, which is being doubled up by giving them BH??? Were they maybe not drinking enough before & now they are normal???? I am sure BH, like any other food upsets some dogs, but if I had a dog which couldn't stop drinking, I would have it checked by the vet. It could be one of up to 67 different problems including Diabetes or kidneys. I wouldn't just be saying that since my dogs have been eating such & such a food they have excessive thirst...I would want to know why???? Also if your dog is getting too fat on it, then obviously you are feeding it too much.

I've never had any issues with CR solving problems. I had a DVD once that took for ages to get here, & in the end they sent me another one FOC & the next week the original turned up with package all torn & had obviously been through customs. The package was so cut up, that it was lucky the DVD was still inside it as no attempt had been made to reseal the packet. But that was Australian Customs, not CR.

But that's not to say it doesn't agree with all dogs. It gave my Pug really nasty hot spots that took ages to get rid of, my Shih Tzu got yeasty ears and another dog got too fat. However I have two other dogs who seem to do well on it. It's just trial and error and won't be the right food for all dogs, which the fan club needs to accept instead of appearing confused. Clyde....no one food agrees with all dogs. If I am confused then it's about the excessive drinking & I would be interested if someone could come up with a reason for it.
-
Yeah...got a feeling it might best be used on a tripod as it is hard to get a sharp picture.
-
Unless you really know what you are doing, it would be easy to get the balance wrong if you switched him over to raw. His kibble is a complete & balanced meal, so best to check how much BH you are meant to feed to a normal weight Chi which, up to 5 kilos is 20 to 70 grams per day, & feed him the minimum, & cut out ALL other food, including chicken necks, treats & extra meat. Also check that he doesn't have a secret supply of chicken eggs. If he has free access to chook poo, then it's likely he could have access to a nest somewhere.

We have been using it for about 7 months now & my dogs don't drink large amounts of water & their coats are looking great & only two poos a day, nice & firm.
