  1. Are you using the clicker as well???? If you are clicking immediately as soon as she looks & she doesn't immediately turn to you for the treat, then you are way over her threshhold & you need to go right back to where she will respond to the clicker. You have to get your timing right & make sure she really understands the value of the clicker. I have never met a goldie yet that is not interested in food.
  2. If you are going to Queensland, then don't forget Camp Tailwaggers at Carool, on the border. We stayed there last week & it was fantastic...dogs had a ball.
  3. I always do up personalised Christmas Cards with our furkids on the front. I would like to put the grandkids on it, but I can't get them all together & get them to sit still while I take a decent photo. Dogs are so much easier to photograph. I do my cards online through Harvey Norman...they have a 1/2 price special on their cards at the moment. I also do up doggie calanders through them...also half price ATM.
  4. Just a thought....It might be a good idea to allow an extra couple of days for your delivery as the couriers are very, very busy at this time of the year. Maybe best to order your new bag while you still have some left & there is a good chance some of the couriers don't operate during the Christmas/New Year break. I don't think we will be sending out over that period
  5. I doubt very much if anyone else could do them cheaper than $47 for twelve poles including shipping..... Just bumping this up for JetpointGSP
  6. Hi Mandimoore, I just put my BC puppy straight onto the Adult formula when I got him on the advice of breeders etc. Not sure if it makes a difference depending on breed of puppy. It was more convenient for me to be able to feed him the Adult one as it meant I only had to store one lot of food & he has grown up well on it.
  7. I hope you get your dogs back quickly...that is so horrible. It may help if we all knew where they were stolen from.
  8. Once your dog has killed a chook, there is very little you can do except keep him well away from the chooks. Sorry, but there is no magic fix. If you can't keep him away from the chooks, then buy an electric fence & run that around low around the chook pen...when he puts his nose on that, he may look at the chickens in a different way. We live on a farm, & have found in the past that is the only way & even that is not foolproof but it does make the dog think twice.
  9. Customs might confiscate anything made from animal products if detected. I just found a customs brochure in my clean up. It's all this panic buying by DOL's that's making the Aussie Dollar drop
  10. We send to the Central Coast for $10 per bag, if this helps...same day delivery Just click on the web page at the bottom of my signature for contact details etc.
  11. I have in the past put in the comment box that I want all yellow balls & I have got them. These waterproof socks are great...I have a pair & they really do keep your feet dry ...they are a lot dearer in Australia Skins Waterproof Socks
  12. I've got something similar that a guy at Croydon made. If your dog hits the poles they do move a bit. Great for doing 2x2 though as you can move them around so easily. These ones screw in the ground using an adaptor with your cordless screw driver so they reckon they are a lot more stable....? They don't include the stick in the ground weaving poles in free shipping. JulesP - do you remember (ball park) what the guy at Croydon charged please? These are nearly $90 for 12 which I thought was fairly good value. I didn't see these.....I just got the screw in the ground bases as I already have the poly pipe to fit, but I think I might order another 6, if I can make it up to $100 again
  13. I have a set of 6 screw in weave pole bases coming...so hoping they are just what I have been looking for. Sort of wish I had ordered 2 sets now...hmmmmm can always put in another order With the Fantastic Foam Balls, my two Border Collies have the smaller size & even Cricket, the big puppy has had a chew & it is still intact. They float as well, so that's good & bounce. They also have one of the larger size, but don't play with it much as it is too big for their mouth. Excellent for the beach as they don't hold sand like a tennis ball. Think I might go & start putting another order together :D
  14. I have just ordered my guys a big, big box of stuff from Clean Run, cause I couldn't decide what to get them Knowing Cricket (8mo BC Puppy), he will get most fun out of ripping up the big, big box I love Christmas, especially now I have 4 grand kids
  15. Just got an email, they have removed the shipping.....& they have posted my order. If anyone is still looking for ideas on what to buy..make sure you get some Fantastic Foam Balls. I have had some for a couple of years & they are indestructible, they bounce & they don't wear the dogs teeth down like tennis balls. I have ordered a couple more even though I still have a few put away, cause everyone that sees them wants one.
  16. Every day...I find it a good oportunity to check on how healthy their poos are...if you know what I mean ??
  17. We did our first ever night time trial over the weekend & I wasn't expecting much with all the bright lights, & shadows etc, so I decided to treat all four runs like training runs & decided to "go silent" (almost). I cut out all "overs", reserved the "heres" for sharp turns & pull offs, no goding through the weave poles & no "go faster" noises that I usually make. We didn't make any "Q"s but only got one fault in each run...a knocked bar (light was in her eyes), a missed jump (my fault..dropped arm), missed entry to the weaves & a popped weave. So I was over the moon with her performance as they were not easy courses. One had a jump, right turn to serpentine, cartwheel begining & another had a serpentine, left turn to jump finish. Plus she did them with a better than normal speed. Oh.....I did throw in a couple of "good girl"s along the way when she gave me lovely contacts ;)
  18. Usually two to three weeks, but with this much business I wouldn't be surprised if they are flat out & it could take longer
  19. I'd hate to say it, but I really do think there is something wrong with you. Have you seen your doctor recently? No, maybe I should.....I don't feel feverish though? Just bumping this up...as some people still can't decide I've done my order but havn't put it in yet...better do it before all you guys get the all goodies
  20. That's OK Divas Mum.....I have been reading the posts & having a chuckle at you girls & OH is telling me I am sinfull for even mentioning it I hav't told him yet that I have gone through it & ticked everything I ever wanted......now to do some eliminating I save him sooooo much money by never missing a sale
  21. My dogs love sardines in tomato sauce. Yep, tomato is OK for dogs
  22. I have border collies & find that feeling for ticks is best. We look where we can, in the ears & on the belly etc, but rely more on feel for the other areas, especially the grooves up the legs where they can hide.
  23. Those little bird things that whistle, talking balls, foam balls . I think I have exceeded $200 so I am going to have to trim it a little
  24. Not sure where it says that this is not on free shipping...... I think it probably is ;)
