Not at all. The people I currently work with, one showed Main Coon Cats back in the UK and the other is very much into the best of the best and in his mind pedigree dogs are the way to go. I have a photo of one of my dogs on my desk, clients will often ask me about him and it does come up occasionally that he is a show dog, no one has ever given me trouble about it. I fact I often get more questions after that, its great. I will admit most of my friends think I'm nuts but that is more because I spend so much of my waking time at shows instead of hanging out with them. Its never nasty though. What really gives me a headache is the people spouting off about how awful Pittbulls are. That conversation topic nearly ended up a fight with my MIL on Christmas

There are some stunning shots on here, everyone is doing so well! Here is mine for today. My OH has been fire twirling for years and he was ever so kind and offered himself as my subject for tonight. -
Two meals a day here for all my dogs, adult and puppy. Mistral is a bugger for eating and will pick at food seeming to get bored quickly so feeding little meals more often helps him, Alchemy and Lestat could eat until they popped so I feel more comfortable giving them smaller meals too.

Crate training him would be a good idea for when you are not around so he can't destroy anything. Also lots of training to keep him mentally tired would go a long way. You have a male Mal hitting the rat bag stage of life, you're going to have him pushing the boundries a lot now from how it sounds, staying firm and consistant about what he can and can't do is very important.

Off cause, how could I have missed the Samoyed in him, its so obvious!

Gasp, there are fairies in my garden! Day 3 -
There are plenty of show line Samoyeds being used for herding and sledding. Both mine will be tried in herding when I get my hands on some reindeer I would also love to try sledding one day too.

Dear PF, I have been looking for a Pure Bread Poodlelupe for a long time and no one has been able to supply me with one yet. I want the dog to look like a poodle, full poodle show clip, never require grooming, wont shed and have the markings of a wolf. I have all faith that you at your wonderful Kennels, with such a fantastic reputation can provide with with a mating pair. I look forward hearing from you.

Hi I have a 14 week old sammy who has been on Royal Canin from the breeder, he recommended I soak 1/2 cup for at least 2 hours in for morning and night feeds for about 2 months, then simply add a bit of water when serving - by the time he's 12 months he will be on 2cups a day of Royal Canin in one meal. I'll attach below my breeder's recommendations for feeding my sammy:- He is on Royal Canin – Medium Junior and about ½ a cup both morning and night at the moment. You will need to increase this slowly as he gets older. As an adult (12months) he will only be on 1 meal a day and should be only getting 2 cups a day. This will be plenty for him. He should weigh as an adult no more than 25-27kg. If you are going to continue with the premium food you really shouldn’t mix his food and give him fresh meat. The problem if you do is that you tend to upset the balance of the actual formula of the food. The premium foods are a complete diet and you really don’t need to feed anything else. You need to pre-soak his food for about the next 2 months and then you can go onto giving it to him just with the water on his dinner. Never feed him just dry without the water. You will do this forever. As for bones they are fine on a once a month basis as they do need them for their teeth but they are very fatty. NEVER give cooked bones, only raw. You can also give him chicken necks from now on if you want. 1 a week would be fine on top of his dinner. Obviously your pup is a little older, but I hope this can be of some benefit (or perhaps I've been led astray and there's more advice for me? LOL) Personally this is not how I feed my Sammies but everyone does different things and if your boy is doing well on it then by all means keep him going. My dogs get far more bones, not the big marrow bones unless the marrow itself has been scrapped out but chicken, turkey, lamb or duck necks, chicken feet (more a treat then anything else), lamb flaps, chicken frames, venison bones as well as raw mince, fish and various organ meat. This with a little kibble every now and then. My adult male hates kibble and will only eat a very little of it at a time and its the Nutro or Pro Plan, I found Royal Cannin made his coat like straw. My baby girl gets adult kibble Nutro or Pro Plan along with bones and the other meats my boy gets. So far happy healthy dogs and no watering of kibble.

Thanks guys, with any luck it will help the naked one out

My poor boy is very out of coat at the moment and I have purchased a container of the Volumising Cream in hopes that it will help him out a little. So has anyone used it and what is the good the bad and the ugly?

I agree 100% please dont clip her, she looks amazing and has my OH seriously thinking about a TT again

Personally I would think that is too much for a 9 month old. I would be worried about the strain on their hips. But it might be different for Goldies
