A Snuggle of Samoyeds

Same, for me it was natural. I had an idea that I wanted to do it after seeing my Aunt with her beautiful Cav's but the decision was made 100% after getting my first Sammie.

My Lab drank way too much as a puppy. We would put a bowl down and he would finish it in one go so we did start restiricting the amount of water he had access too. He still drinks too much now at 7 but we can tell him to stop it and he will. Its not normally something I like to do but he was making himself sick he was drinking so much

Beautiful puppies everyone! We have two names pick our for our little pup, it will all depend on which pedigree name he gets.

My Lab has a large doggie wardrobe of different kinds of coats. We have three weatherbeta coats for him during the day but I find that he isn't comfortable in them when asleep, the belly band tends to move around too much and dig in so we bought him a polar fleece doggie vest from here: http://www.thewolfsden.com.au/ It zips up along the back so he can't wiggle out of it in his sleep.

Hi guys In trying to think up a name for our new boy we have come up with a name but both the breeder and myself are wondering if we would be allowed to use it because of a certain word. The word is GOD, used in the context of STORMGOD, WINTAGOD ect I've checked the rules and havn't been able to find anything about this word being disallowed however I've never seen a dog with it in it's name. I've seen goddess, devil and satan but not GOD. Does anyone know if it's allowed?

Heh, I was counting down the days until finding out Tash was pregnant, then counting down until they were born, then counting down until she came home. I know the feeling! I have been there too D&R We waited for the owner to choose a stud, then we waited for the bitch to come in season, then we waited for the confirmation she was pregnant, then we waited for the birth (and after wanting a girl we got a whole litter of boys.....) and now we are waiting to find out which will be our puppy. Waiting sucks

Yup - that's where we are at - we have to wait for first shots and vet check until we come visit, then they don't go home until they've had their 12 wk shot. 12 weeks? I though pups were usually sent to their new owners at 8 weeks. From what I understand the 8 - 12 week period is really crucial for a pups development and they should be settling into their new home, meeting other people and other vaccinated puppies. Unless the breeder does all this socialization with the litter? I would die if I had to wait 12 weeks. The breeder of my little Sydney boy isnt letting show puppies go to their new homes until they are about 9 or 10 weeks old, she just wants to make sure that we are getting the very best in the litter and I'm really thankfull for that. I think someone already said though it's pretty normal for small breeds to go later. I saw the Sammie pups yesterday, they are just over 4 weeks and sooooo cute! We have our favourites in the litter, now we just have to wait and see if we get one of them ;) And in other news my imported boy flies out from Poland today to arrive in Sydney on Wednesday :rolleyes: We are getting very excited now
