This is me too. My friends are having babies at the moment and i'm like 'yeah yeah' but if someone says 'I'm getting a new puppy'... I'm out buying little toys, finding excuses to go over their place to hang out with the pup... Samoyed puppies Japanese Spitz puppies too Im the same, babies do nothing for me, but puppies

Samoyeds without a doubt are the cutest puppies IMO

Is that your personal opinion or a philosophical absolute? If it is the latter, I would love to hear the logic that leads to this conclusion. No matter how passionate we all are about our animals, human life should always take precedence over animal life, always. And that again is a personal opinion not backed by logic. I disagree. So far I have not come across any convincing reason why a human life is more valuable from a philosophical perspective. And I don't believe in the religious dogma that humans are superior because they have souls and animals don't. If I am in a risky situation, my first priority always will be what I value most. So my family (including animals) and then everyone else. And that is my opinion which I would not force on others or declare as an absolute. But I do think most poeple would do the same. The difference is only that I put a higher value on my dogs and consider them truly part of my family than perhaps those who disagree. I agree with you OG.

I've locked Night the cat in the fridge before and Lestat our Lab has been left outside at night many times.

I am confident with my entire bitch with her mother and her half sister. They all get along beautifully and have very similar personalities. However I do not trust her with my dogs sister, mother or even grandmother. Each one of these bitches is very full on and pushy. I think it has a lot to do with the personality of the bitches. I know many people who run bitches together who have never had an issue.

My dogs have always chewed pine cones and no one has had any issues so far but my dogs chew and spit out, no one swallows them. Lestat the Lab did get ill from eating too many freash pine needles however, that can make them sick if they eat enough of them.

So many cute puppies! Congrats to everyone who's little ones are home. Goldbaby I am in the same position as you. The breeder just called and said we could come and get our little boy this Saturday And in other good news my lovely imported boy gets out of quarantine next Friday It's all happening so fast now :D

I was at the beach with my APBT Armand (RIP) and my OH called out to him to come over. I thought I had dropped the lead but somehow it managed to get wrapped around my finger and when he pulled away at top speed he managed to break it. Oh boy did that hurt. The same dog doing zoomies in the yard one day forgot to side step me sitting in a plastic outside chair and plowed into the legs, the chair broke and I ended up flat on my ass. He also did the same thing a few days later and hit my right in the back of the knees, again I ended up flat on my ass

I was the same when Misty had his emergancy surgery. I was a mess the moment I got into the car. If I had organised a holiday it wouldn't be so bad, I would miss them but it wouldn't stop me going away.

My OH and I do say things like 'where is mummy?" and such but we arn't the kinds of people to baby our dogs. I do hate the term furkids however, that drives me nutty

Ours are either crated inside or in dogs runs when we are out.

Somewhat loyal I suppose. My first boy I stuck to the breeder diet sheet for a long time and he was scratching and had a lot of runny poos so we changed and he has been much happier. I will feed my dogs whatever I believe them to do the best on.

Each time one of these threads comes up my list gets smaller and smaller I have Samoyeds but I would love an Afghan, Borzoi or a German Spitz Ive also been looking into the PBGVs lately, starting to really like them too My OH wants a Bullmastiff
