  1. Oh come on. Not one person on here has been rude or unpleasent. In fact I believe its all been very helpful and informative.
  2. Lectric Soda Crystals. You can pick them up in the supermarket and have saved me many times.
  3. Im not a huge fan. Some of the info is wrong and I dont like the oodle segments but its not the worst thing Ive ever seen.
  4. All my dogs have come home on my lap. The longest drive was 3 hours and the puppy slept the whole way home

    Puppy Poo

It a condition called Coprophagia, some dogs have it, others don't. The best way to stop it is to clean the area right away so the dog has no access to it's feaces. Another way to stop it is to add pineapple to the dogs diet. There could also be something missing from the dogs diet, what are you feeding her?
  6. All the breeders of my dogs like to hear from them. And I hope that when we have our litter our puppy people will keep in contact.
  7. Mine has its base in Finnish mythology which is where my family comes from. And it's also the name of a CD I like from the band Amorphis.
  8. How does one search world-wide to see if a prefix you'd like has been taken? Is it just a question of googling it? Google it and follow the link i posted above.
  9. I enjoy the company of most animals but dogs and wolves have a special place in my heart.
  10. Are you kidding? I've yet to meet one that isn't!!! The ones I know are all dogs sports dogs too. Try walking past the Paps at a show or watching one in agility, they have a lot to say. I remember an awesome little Pap from Crufts a few years ago. It didn't stop barking the whole way around the agility ring. I have a theory that the yapping makes them faster  :p
  11. I have no idea. You need to ask Troy for permisson to join. Ask him.
  12. You need to be a breeder to post in there. Glad the little girl is doing so well
  13. I got my first choice. When I was trying to pick a name I googled everything I could think of to see what came up, I also checked the FCI site tooFCI
  14. Each of the dogs loves something different. Lestat is into stuffed duck toys, he goes mental for the noise they make. Mistral is really into tugg toys Alchemy loves balls and tiny soft toys Yngvie likes anything he can chew and destroy, Nyla bones seem popular Dante loves plastic squeeky toys, his favourite is Simba. My childhood GR loved her soft football, she gutted it and carried the skin everywhere with her.
  15. I would be careful with a hot water bottle. They can burst and you really don't want that. Find a heating pad and get her a nice snuggly igloo bed.
  16. My male Samoyeds do this all the time. Apparently a cuddle and a kiss makes everything better
  17. I agree with a lot of what Sparky says. No you don't need to show to understand what you are doing and being a showie breeder dosn't mean your dogs will be the next best thing but I believe it sure does help. I can only speak from personal experiance but when I first started in Samoyeds I thought my first dog was really good. Now I don't think that (offcause he's still the best dog ever but from a breeding perspective he isn't ideal) and he is booked in to be desexed. I would not have learnt what I know now if I hadn't shown, I wouldn't have the breed connections I have either, the people who have taught me everything and are worth their weight in gold. I shudder to think about how naive I was about the breed before I started showing and my ideas of what makes a good Samoyed great have been dramtically changed, for the better I believe. We have our first litter planned soon. I guess we will see if all that information has actually sunk in
  18. Mine get a toy but we dont bother wrapping it.
  19. Salzburg!!! Want to come on a Sound of Music tour with me Feefs?? W I will be in on that! :D Or then there is Finland...or Italy.....;) Some friends and I are travelling over for the one in Finland. Should be great fun :D
  20. I will be wearing my woolen skirt suit as usual but I also wear really thick leggings underneath. And when I'm not int he ring I wear trackpants and really thick jackets. Gumboots for walking around in are a life saver, the ground will be very damp and good non slip shoes in the ring are very important. It will be very cold and windy, it always is in Bungendore.
