German Shepherd Died In Tragic Accident
kamuzz replied to Riley'n'Mia's topic in General Dog Discussion
So sorry for your loss. And yes another vote for telling your daughter he has gone - to heaven, to live on a star, whatever fits in with your beliefs -
Been a good education clicking on the photo and looking at the image properties because most of yours have included the breed name.

do we know he is a boy? Or we are still guessing at the sex?

Steve, what sort of "tail" do you want on the squares to provide yarn to join the squares together? Or do you want both ends darned away?

Interesting point dyzney. My dogs have water at night and if they need to go out, they will wake me up. They aren't shut into their crates. We use the aviary feeders attached to the outside of the crates as water dishes. Before I starting giving them water at night, Coda would wake me up because he wanted to go out for a drink. Most nights now he leaves me in peace. We go to bed around 10pm and get at 6am so I guess I'm asking them to "hold on" for 8 hours. Hummmmm.

Are there any photos of him?

Well you can tell us a little more about your situation: - what sort of dog do you have - how much exercise does he need - how much exercise does he want - what is the terrain like where you live - hills, flat etc - would you be able to try biking him instead of walking And add some photos. That should be good for at least 5 more posts - how many do you need?
-
Good luck for tomorrow guys, fingers and paws crossed here.

Does anyone know Kristina IRL? Maybe something is horribly wrong in her world - why else would she be selling her dogs? Maybe she has dug herself into a really bad place and doesn't know how to get out it?

In Erny's thread ( http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=203277 ) someone mentioned using Bowen for tummy upsets. What is Bowen, and what can it be used to treat in dogs? And how do you find a decent practitioner? (I'm in the Hills District in Sydney.)

KitKat, won't he have other signs by now? bluecollie, this became an issue after we had him desexed. Wouldn't we have seen problems with him around other dogs while he was still entire?
-
We have an English Setter. He will be two in September this year. Mazda (yes his breeder named him Mazda 626) came to live us in March/April. At that stage he was entire. Initially he was on trial with us to see if he would like living with my GSD. During this period I took him to our local off lead park. The breeder knew I wanted a dog that I could take here and was happy for us to try him out in various settings. Mazda was fine. Think boy from the bush - he wasn't used to traffic or cars for example, but he seemed to be fine around other dogs. At the beginning of May we had him desexed, and at his first visit to the dog park a couple of other dogs wanted to hump him. However, three of them keep wanting to take it turns to hump each other and I didn't think too much of it. (Mazda, a desexed female and an entire male just kept going back to making their own little fun corner.) But since then this has escalated to the point where I don't take him to the park anymore. At one visit every time he stood still, another dog was trying to hump him. I had owners coming up saying they had never seen this behaviour from their dog before. At our last visit, it quickly became obvious the same thing was going to happen and we left quick smart. Even dogs we meet on our regular walks - that are fine with other dogs - want to hump him. And it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas on why?

Do Any German Shepherd Owners Have One Of These Beds?
kamuzz replied to heroeswit's topic in General Dog Discussion
How easy are these beds to clean? We had Snooza D1000 that were chew-proof but the hair just seemed to stick like glue. No amount of vacuuming would budge it. Now we have Snooza futons in their crates and the futons are much easier to keep clean, both in terms of vacuuming and fitting in the washing machine. But I like the look of these beds for upstairs. -

Iams/euk Recall In Usa And Canada
kamuzz replied to stormie's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Do you know what date ranges are affected here? ETA this is the link to US page http://www.iams.com/iams/en_US/data_root/h...ll_message.html Maybe it would be the same dates here, if all the stuff is made overseas and imported? -
Thanks for explaining that. Would there be any reason to clip to the dead ring? Maybe to test if the prong type correction was still needed?
