  1. Coda, the second fussiest eater in the known universe, ate the first bag of the GSD mix fine. Wouldn't even sniff the second bag. Royal Canin did cut down on the amount we had to pick up in the back garden.
  2. Maybe try feeding her yoghurt, or does that only work with humans?
  3. Sorry to hear about the loss of your boy. Do like your signature "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." it is so true. Your two will be waiting at the bridge for you.
  4. Just got some Nutro to try it out. Coda must be the fussiest eater known to mankind - but he'll happily leave his bowl to go and pinch Ben's SuperCoat. Go figure. So far we have tried him on Proplan (which his breeder was feeding him), then Royal Canin; then Science Diet. And the only food he'll eat consistently is SuperCoat. Maybe I should just give up and let him eat that
  5. And good on you for calling the vet, to check this out
  6. How big are the dials? Surely that must be difficult to adjust?
  7. Yes the GSDs are good at chewing things. Coda ruined the cover of our spa. He chewed his way around all the edges until the whole thing was useless. Of course he never did it when we were around, so he never did get into trouble for it. <sigh> How old is your other GSD? Do they play together?
  8. Right now we have Coda, and Ben who is around a year. When they are playing together it is very noisy. But they don't seem to mind whether the humans are in or out.
  9. Glad to hear your pup is better - how about a photo or two?
  10. Wonderful photo and by the sounds of it he had a wonderful nature to match. Sorry for your loss, and he'll be waiting at the bridge for you.
  11. A collar that goes from level 1 to level 100? Hummmm - anyone actually seen one with that many levels? My antibark collar goes 1 to 7. Looking at their website the Innotek containment system has three levels on the collar.
  12. Poor little tyke. Not sure how much more you can do though ;) The last thing you need to fall foul of the privacy laws and get the grooming salon into trouble. (or do you own it? In that case you can make a decision on much strife you are willing to get into)
  13. Wow 21 years - what a lot of wonderful memories you must have. Happy seagull chasing Mindi

    Mitch

What a lovely face. Have fun at the bridge Mitch, where you can run and play to your heart's content

    Worming

We use Sentinel for flea and worm control, including heartworm. It is one tablet per month for everything and that helps makes things simple. sorry can't help with your question - could you ring the vet?
  16. Some people also suggest not feeding your dog seven days a week. Not sure how this would relate to a puppy - maybe skip just one meal?
  17. Thought Christmas beetles were cicadas.....?
  18. RIP Kuta She'll be waiting for you at the bridge.
  19. Yes the look on his face when he met our Robbie was priceless. Robbie gets very excited when he sees another dog. Pulls on his lead; bounces on the spot; barks and yips; just about works himself up to foaming at mouth. We thought this was aggression but Steve saw it as excitement + no socialisation skills. Kane just took look at Robbie's performance and you could see him thinking "are you supposed to be a dog - you look more like an IDIOT to me". He didn't move a muscle - just watched Robbie carry on like a pork chop. Way to go Ellie & Rachelle
  20. I'm so sorry for all those left behind - to all.
  21. s Does this mean a bitch with her uterus left in is just as likely to develop spay incontinence as a conventionally desexed bitch?
  22. We got one of those long hand shower attachment thingies. We put it on the taps in the laundry so we can bath the dogs outside with warm water.
  23. think this may have been what Steve was trying to explain. Coda's first reaction is to be nervous, at this time of his life. Therefore I should be careful not to do anything that confirms he should be nervous. Things that may confirm he should be nervous could include: - fussing over him - showing anxiety myself
