Barkly can catch as well. I throw on the ground when I want him to move away from a spot (for example shaping 'go to mat') or to generate extra speed/drive (tossing a treat as he pops out of weave poles for example). I throw down his gob when I want him to stay in the same spot. I don't use verbal cues for throwing treats. Barkly recognises the body cues pretty well though

Chicken breast (about 2cm cubes) is very easy for the dog to see.

Walking... Don't ever let her get any where if she's pulling. Never. Consistancy. If you never leave the driveway. So be it. Patience. Tiny steps. To get Barkly to walk on lead, I had to spin around in the oppsite direction every single time he surged forward. He never even got the chance to pull. If he wasn't next to my left leg, he's got spun around in the opposite direction. "Outside" It's not a 'discipline problem' - it's a motivation problem. Teach the dog "come" - make it a very high reward behavior. BTW - Are you using food rewards with the dog? A pup should be getting nearly all it's food from your hand as rewards for good behaviours. Have you read any books on dog training? Started clicker training? I'd recommend: Karen Prior - Don't Shoot the Dog - Read this!!! Looks good Law. Canon have similar offering on that site. Try both in your hands http://www.cameracentral.com.au/shop/produ...71420d08566ec77 http://www.cameracentral.com.au/shop/produ...71420d08566ec77 But really - with current Nikon or Canon dSLRs, you can't really go wrong.

Guilty. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Mine are done in Photoshop - hand painted with a brush.
-
With dSLRs - it's about the'system' and the lenses. I wouldn't recommend anything other than Canon or Nikon.

Awesome shots everyone Picking just 3 is hard! All Canon 40D and 70-200 2.8 IS.

Stand was the hardest thing I ever taught. AFAIK, the typical method is to lure from a sit or a down with food in the hand and click as soon as the dog stands. Fade the food quick, fade the hand quick, try to get to a verbal as quickly as possible. Teaching on a table might help prevent creeping forward.

Insurance For Camera Gear In And Out Of The House

Yep. I had my 20D plus 70-200 2.8 replaced under insurance early in the year. I accidentally left it sitting on the road after a shoot at the beach. It was gone when I went back to get it. I got a new 40D and a new lens. -
Yup - go for it.
