I'm thinking the hats and beards thing is more due to lack of exposure to same... as opposed to connecting with a previous bad experience. Seriously, there seem to be an awful lot of men with hats and/or beards mistreating dogs out there if the stories supposed by some are to be believed... lol! T.

I was driving on an unlimited country road too... won't tell you how fast I was going... but note that I was 19 and had friends in the car... *sigh* Sometimes I wonder how I managed to see adulthood... errr! T.

I've dealt with Renbury a hell of a lot during my time in rescue... how come I never saw or experienced any of the things claimed in this petition (and the comments attached to it)? Our rescue was contacted directly more than once to take on Duty of Care dogs also... I could probaby name 5 pounds in Sydney alone that need an audit more than Renbury does... *sigh* T.

I was driving and the spider decided to crawl on my neck... so I slapped at it not knowing what it was... and the bugger bit me! He was a good sized one too - about the size of an adult man's hand! Next day I had this huge boil on my neck and had to go to the doctor to have it sorted... not pleasant! T.

It would be interesting to know how many cats they rehomed or released to rescue that week... may put a bit more perspective on the numbers issue. It's all well and good to pick at the euth stats - but it needs to be balanced with the rehoming/rescue release stats to give an overall picture of performance, yes? T.

I've been bitten by a Huntsman... and lucky me has a nasty reaction to them... blows up into a huge boil thing that needs lancing and stuff. Any Huntsman that comes into my house and shows itself dies... simple! T.

Then she needs a kick in the arse... lol! T.

The things being claimed in that petition aren't all true or factual... they may have had to euth a number of cats due to lack of space and amount of time they'd been in care, but what else are they supposed to do when space is limited and no-one wants to take said cats? Rescue also has limited space, and adult cats are not as highly sought for adoption as kittens... not to mention there is a constant influx of animals into a pound. Renbury are one of the better pounds... they work closely with rescue, advertise the animals in their care effectively, the staff are amazing and provide a level of care much higher than many pounds I've personally visited. This petition is not warranted IMHO... T.

It may be worth your while to purchase some actual snake handling gear... will make catching and relocating so much easier and safer for all... T.

In all fairness, the breeder may be, or have a friend who is, a qualified implanter... and doesn't need the vet to do the chipping... T.

He does just fine with one eye... he's the cheekiest little thing ever - loves to chase you around and climb up your pants leg insisting on cuddles... lol! I think that the first people who meet him will want to take him home... he is seriously adorable! T.

Thanks Powerlegs... I don't usually get very long with the SFR kitties to take photos, and they are indoors so the lighting is not the best... and they are fast! perse... he came to us as a 2 week old with cat flu which had badly damaged his eye. T.

Nope... you definitely take better kitty photos than me... lol! This is what I managed today... not bad, but certainly nowhere near as gorgeous as your photos powerlegs... I'll admit the lighting was crap, and I had only 10 mins to get what I could, on my own, and he was trying to climb up my leg for abou 9 of those 10 mins... lol! T.

Yep - maybe spend money on enforcement/policing of current laws and regs... we don't need more of those that won't be policed... *sigh* T.
