Funny... I really enjoy YOUR photos just as much Kirislin... lol! I should be doing TAFE assignments, but when the weather was good and the babies all playing up a storm, who wants to be cooped up inside on the computer? Unfortunately the rain has started in earnest today... and is supposed to hang about for a few days... so I may end up getting some of those assignments done... *sigh* T.

That is the coolest calendar cover shot ever!!! And the winter sun photos are to die for... such photogenic subjects... *sigh* T.

Enjoy! T.

OK - some photos from the past couple of days... none happening today as it's raining, and the babies aren't fussed on being out in it... lol! Just for Katdogs... *evil grin* ... more of the rest to come... T.

I have photos from the past 2 days, but haven't gotten around to selecting and editing the good ones for the babies' fans yet... BUT... the babies had a very special visitor today... Aunty Katdogs! Everyone got cuddles, and Katdogs got plenty of puppy breath kisses from her fave little miss Maxi (black and tan)... a lovely visit... Aunty Katdogs says I'm meean for not letting her take Maxi home with her... lol! I think Mr Katdogs might divorce her if she brings home another black bitch though... lol! Then, another friend came over and spent time with the babies also... and brought 15kgs of chicken necks and 10kgs of lean mince (I asked her to pick it up for me on her way over)... puppies all tuckered out and full of yummies and fast asleep in their night pen now. I promise to post more photos tomorrow, OK? Just of puppies... not their visitors... *grin* T.

Little Red Man’S Roller Coaster Journey:
tdierikx replied to Loving my Oldies's topic in Palliative Care Forum
I spent quite a while feeling lost... and that my soul was broken... when my Woosie left me back in 2004... and it still hurts my heart now. The pain and feeling of loss never goes away, but you learn to put one foot in front of the other... day by day... step by step... and you learn to manage again. Allow yourself whatever time you need to learn to live without your little red man physically there... and remember that he WILL live forever in your heart and memories... and smile for him. T. -

Such is the world in rescue... I'm just a foster carer, so I don't get to make the rules... These little guys' mother was surrendered pregnant because the owner had neglected to take precautions ... *sigh*... and when you see this sort of thing happen so often, you just want to be 100% sure you are never going to see your rescues' babies coming into rescue themselves... That's Sargeant Pepper... he's the biggest of the lot, and a real snugglebum... ear scratch and more duly given on your behalf... *grin* Same puppy actually... lol! And he's Sargeant Pepper... Funny how most people are gravitating towards him... he does take a lovely photo, yes? Most people who've seen the photos are gravitating towards Sargeant Pepper and Maxi (black and tan girl)... I'm thinking it's because they both stand out so much from the rest... lol! At the moment I'm really leaning towards Jude, the boy with the mostly black face and wide set eyes... he follows me everywhere and loves to just sit next to me and chill... he loves snuggles, and will smooch his little head right into your neck to get as close to you as he can. Maxi (black and tan) is one of the cheeky ones... she's always the last to be caught and put into their pen of an evening... usually after a good game of chasies all over the yard... lol! I'm still trying to learn what name goes with which pup... I didn't get to name them, so it's interesting trying to work out from the notes who is actually who... errr! Boys are... Sargeant Pepper - big boy with wide white stripe on face and big white chest Jude - mostly black face, wide set eyes Rigby - white socks, dark nose Rocky - white chin Girls are... Maxi - black/tan Yoko - all tan, pink collar Sadie - white nose and stripe Maggie - all tan, longer white socks Ely (Elanor) - white socks with spots, white chest All named from Beatles songs... *sigh* T.

Thanks Kirislin... not as great as your photos, but they will definitely do, yes? T. Please dont say that, mine are always just candid grabs. Yours are gorgeous and I found myself wishing I could get shots like them, I find it hard to get down low these days. I love the screens full of puppy that you have. Mine are all catch as catch can too... it's not all that easy getting photos of 9 active puppies who swarm you every time you get anywhere near them. I tend to sit down and wait until they start to get bored of climbing on or chewing me, then start snapping at anything I can get... lol! ... and getting back up from down there ain't as easy as it used to be for me either... *grin* They've just turned 8 weeks old now, so should be getting advertised soon... I'm tipping that most of them should be gone by the time they are 12 weeks old... they are lovely pups who are going to grow up to be lovely dogs. The person who took in their pregnant mum and raised them before sending them to us has done an amazing job with them... they are the healthiest and most socially adept litter I've ever had the pleasure of fostering. I've checked all the boy's little testicles, and they are there, so desexing should be easy enough in a week or two... T.

Trying not to have favourites, but the guy with lots of black on his face thinks I'm his fave person... *grin* If I sit down, he's right next to me or under me... and if I'm walking, he's on a natural heel beside me... too cute! T.

The goats obviously don't eat the birds... and must not be messing up their habitat to the extent that it's an issue... Looks like they may have to cull the goats by shooting on a regular basis... like they do with the roos in Canberra when they get to plague proportions. We messed up the balance by encraoching on habitats and introducing certain species, so we might just have to work a bit harder to keep numbers under control. What gets me is widespread baiting of pest species usually works up and down the food chain - with unintended collateral damage to those animals that we are trying to save form so called pests... *sigh* There will be no easy answer or quick and dirty solution I'm afraid... T.

A couple of them have those hazel/green eyes... I'm tipping they were bluey coloured a few weeks ago when they were really little. And perse, you'd love the black/tan girl... she's soft natured and not clingy... *grin* T.

Massive heart hugs to you DDD... having had to say goodbye to my heart dog some years ago, I can feel your pain... *sob* T. -
Ummm... not so much with them... apart from giving them more toys to destroy instead of digging more holes in my yard... lol! I felt bad after my last post, so edited a few photos for their adoring fans... *grin* Enjoy! T.

Well... I've been slack and haven't gone through the photos yet... but will tomorrow, OK? T.
