  1. You could try putting the collar and lead on her and letting her walk around a bit with it dragging behind... then when she's fine with that, try gently taking the lead and coaxing her along with her favourite toy or a food treat. Every time she comes a few steps with you holding the lead, give her the treat, praise, or let her play a little with her toy... she'll get the hang of it soon enough... *grin* T.
  2. I'm no expert, but maybe puppy is deciding to try to climb up the pack superiority ladder? Was it your youngest child's room by any chance? Hubby also needs to retrained if he thinks that this one incident from a 4 month old puppy requires that he now be an outside dog... T.
  3. We had an avocado farm when I was growing up, and our dog would eat his fill regularly - but he never ate the seed... good thing too, 'cos that's got some nasties that make dogs very sick - as most pitted fruit does... T.
  4. If you are only wanting to resize images - "Easy Thumbnails" will do the job pretty darned perfectly every time - and it's FREE! T.
  5. I use Easy Thumbnails - www.fookes.com - free and great for resizing to pretty much any sizes... T.
  6. I've been over to Stevie&Jodie's place, and the nail looks to be cleanly ripped off past the quick. We've trimmed the hair from around it, put on some betadine, packed it with some cotton fluff, bandaged it up nicely, and put a sock on it for good measure. Stevie doesn't like it, but now her mummy and daddy just need to make sure that she knows that it really should stay on... lol! Stevie reacted a little bit when we bandaged it, as though she may have actually hurt the toe itself when she ripped the nail out - but the cotton fluff packing should pad that some for her until they can get her to a vet for some professional advice/assistance. My guess is that they will maybe x-ray the foot, and if the toe is broken, they can take it from there - currently the bandage should protect the toe and stop grotty stuff from the yard getting into the wound. Can anyone tell that I've had dogs that have hurt their toes before? hahaha! T.
