  1. Hahaha! Puck the Pointer... *grin* What camera and lens combo do you use for your photos Kirislin? T.
  2. All my rescue foster pups are done around 8-10 weeks and over 1 kg... but that's because we don't rehome undesexed dogs in rescue... For my own girls, I had them both done at around 2 years old, but any future dogs will be desexed younger. I agree with those advising you to wait until your girl is physically "matured" before desexing. T.
  3. You are so going to love your 450D... I love mine to bits! Awesome photo of a handsome boy too... *grin* T.
  4. Nugget/Dutch was a very scrawny 5 week old pup that had found himself in my local pound - I privately rescued him and he now has the most perfect home on the planet with KnucklesDutchnUs. All of the pups in the other 2 calendars were foster pups for NSW Animal Rescue... T.
  5. Like I said i,m sorry as I can't go into too much detail until the case is heard. You've already gone into some detail about the treatment and the drugs prescribed - why so coy about what the diagnosis was? Did the dog get treated for Addison's? T.
  6. I've added a new foster puppy calendar on my Redbubble page... we now have 3 up there available for your viewing (or purchasing) pleasure... http://www.redbubble.com/people/tdierikx/calendars All photos can also be purchased as cards, postcards, or prints of various types. Some can even be purchased as posters! http://www.redbubble.com/people/tdierikx/art <- hit this page and feel free to go through all the stuff there... *grin* All profit from any sales of ANY of my Redbubble stuff is going to the rescue. T.
  7. Hehe! Yep - Trouble could have joined in with that just fine... and for afters, she would have gone and rolled in the boggy bit, then got up and wanted more running... One day I had Trouble down at a large off lead park and a lady with 4 whippets turned up - Trouble wore the lot of them out... and still had enough energy to go play more with other dogs. I swear my Labrador is mad for zoomies! I think that Trouble has something else in her genetic makeup that isn't Labrador... she is way too fast and agile to be all Lab... we actually think there may be some Dingo in her "line" as she came from a BYB litter in Moree. T.
  8. Honestly - she may outrun the whippets... she can keep up with my Labrador that can outrun whippets... ner! But I have a suspicion that she would rather be the one doing the chasing... hehe! T.
  9. Oh damn!! Don't feel like it's your fault KM... it could have happened to any of us, OK? Hang in there Chase! T.
  10. Do you think this little lady would fit in? She runs really fast! T.
  11. It just goes to show that your pics have been VERY popular this month... *grin* When I had the rescue thread about Milo, my bandwidth exceeded very quickly - everyone loved Milo pics! I got lucky with the timing when posting Winston's pics this month, or I'm sure I'd have exceeded the bandwidth on his pics too... If this starts to happen regularly, you may want to look into paying the small amount that Photobucket charges for their unlimited bandwidth accounts... T.
  12. Hang in there Chase... your Mummy needs you! T.
  13. I love my 55-250mm IS lens Mason2009 - it's within most christmas budgets at around the $300 mark, and does take some very nice photos... I'd love a USM lens...one day... and a longer zoom one... and a nice Macro one... *grin* T.
  14. This part is a worry... I'd be waiting until at least his 2nd shot has taken effect (2 weeks after the shot) before taking him to an outdoor training area that other dogs frequent... T.
  15. I've actually got the "Idiot's Guide to the Canon 450D" - but I haven't actually had enough time to really sit down and have a good play with it... I'm having quite a bit of success taking photos on the auto settings on my camera, and I have a penchant for using the 55-250mm lens. It lets me get back from the subject and snap them doing the things they do naturally - a must when trying to photograph rescue dogs... lol! T.
  16. *giggle* Imagine the conversation... Kirislin: "hey Pete, I've got a woman here who wants to trade her tits for your 400m lens" Pete: "ummmm..." Kirislin: "what do you think?" Pete: "I'm leaving now" (while backing off from the crazy lady relaying a message from another crazy lady) I only have 2 lenses - the standard 18-55m IS lens that came with the camera, and a 55-250m IS lens that set me back around $300. And my camera is an EOS 450D. I don't even know how to use the manual functions on the thing... *grin* T.
  17. How about these? All bar the last one are rescue foster pups I've had over the past year or so - the last one is my own girl Trouble... T.
  18. OK - I'm not actually using either of them - who will trade me for that lens... lol! Awesome shots! What lens was used? T.
  19. Check this one out... I caught him mid blink... eerie! T.
  20. He wasn't making any noise in the last shot - I think he wanted me to feed him... he seemed very content with human company moving around and close to him. He sat there for ages, turning and posing for me to take photos from a whole pile of angles. I ended up with 282 photos, of which I have so far deleted 95 in the first run through. I'll give it a few days and kick out a few more that may not be up to scratch... *grin* In the photo with the two people in it, my Mum is the lady in the pink, and she was taking photos too on her phone. She will send them to me when she gets access to a computer to download them. She got an awesome shot of the cliffs on her phone from the old Quarantine Station at North Head - that one actually ranks up there in the "photos I wish I'd taken" category - on a mobile phone!! Note to self: must go to Quarantine Station at North Head with my 450D... hehe! Oh - and none of the photos posted here have had anything done to them except resized down to upload to Photobucket... T.
  21. Yeah - my aunt's place has a nice view of Sydney's Middle Harbour. We can sit and watch the sailing races, or check out the nudists at the beach across the harbour... *grin* They get quite a few nice birds there - I snapped a flying Cockatoo (but was facing the sun, so he's a bit dark), and saw a pair of some other sort of native largish birds being swooped by a tribe of Noisy Mynahs - and the Kookaburra of course... T.
  22. This little fellow decided he would come and pose for my camera for a good 30 minutes while I was at my aunt's house on Sunday... That last one is my absolute fave... all luck catching that one! T.
  23. I seriously would give my left tit for a lens that takes pics like those! T.
  24. How seriously wrong is that? *giggle* T.
