I can't wait until Symbio get cheetahs... they are so photogenic... T.

Awesome shots piper... I'm so jealous! T.

You really need to come down to Symbio with me one day FF... I can introduce you to all my "friends" there... lol! They have 2 Devils, but poor Woody (who is actually my fave) got beaten up by Smithy and is healing a large hole in his side at the moment. From the sounds he's making from the off-exhibit area, I think he's going to be just fine very soon... *grin* The only drawback to being recognised by the animals is Cranky Frankie the Goose, who lives with the Kangaroos at Symbio... that nasty bird has a bloody thing for me and goes on the attack as soon as he sees me... could make for some funny pics if you want to get some of me being savaged by a goose... hehe! you could get some of Kiss Kiss the Alpaca running over and giving me kisses too... she's has a thing for me in a different way methinks... errr! Or I could teach you how to pat an Emu on the head... T.

Hahaha! She is the coolest little dog ever! T.

I wish! Nope - it's 4.5-5.6... lol! But I get pretty nice photos with it nonetheless... *grin* Thank dog some more Nikon experts have dropped by... I'm firmly in the Canon camp here... lol! T.

Hang in there... if her time comes, you will know... otherwise, she may just surprise us all... Big hugs to you, and gentle hugs for sweet Kibah... T.

I used the Tamron 18-270 a LOT for photos of the rescue fosters over the last couple of years... best all-round lens for a great price IMHO. I have a Canon 60D, so have no idea about Nikon lenses - but when I went for my longer zoom lens for zoo pics, I went for the Canon 100-400 L - pricey, but so worth the clarity and speed when compared to the Sigma and Tamron lenses in the same zoom ranges. I went for the Tamron 90mm for macro stuff, but to date have only actually tried to use it twice, and have no idea how it actually works... not very successful with it as yet... errr! I'm much more of a zoom photographer anyways... I can be far enough away from my subject that it doesn't necessarily notice me, and I can get cool action type shots... T.

X-rays will at least give you difinitive proof of what you are up against... making ANY decisions will be easier once you know exactly what is going on... Hugs again to you and Kibah... T.

Heartworm/worming Options For Naughty Adult Dogs
tdierikx replied to Little Gifts's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
My lot won't eat worming tablets - of any description, or coated in anything. I have to jam them down their throats the old fashioned way... *grin* If that doean't appeal to you LG - just get the spot-on stuff that does ALL worms, including heartworm, and use that on your SBT - easy peasy. T. -

My Dane cross horse puppy decided she wasn't going to get her feet wet this morning... so decided to do her morning (read HUGE) wee in my hallway. Not impressed... Glad your little one has it worked out now Angus Red... T.

I have one dog who will not be crated either... she actually bends and stretches the bars with her teeth until she's made a hole big enough to get out of... in essence completely destroying the crate... errr! T.

I'll admit she is cute as all get out... but the blurb really put me off... it reinforces the horrible spoiled little snappy lap dog thing IMHO... T.
-
He won't get sick if he gets wet - just dry him off before he comes back inside... T.
-
When he wakes up can you put him on grass to see if that makes him more inclined to do something? I've had foster pups who wouldn't poop on any surface but grass... strange, but true... T.
-
Take him out into the yard and play with him for a little while... see if he prefers to find a spot and go there... T.
-
Her ears ARE perfect... they give her even more expression... lol! T.

When we had crossbred and deadly cute pups in our rescue, we'd charge a bit more for them... but $1000 is ridiculous for a pup with some very nasty tendencies showing already. At least we made sure ours were not resource guarders or precious about walking on wet grass... and they were only $450... *grin* T.

You'd think the worming tablets would have made something happen by now... usually a poo explosion within a few hours when I've wormed pups over the years... Take him outside and let him have a play - see if that moves things along... T.
