Well... The passionfriut flower photos are awesome! Love the bee doing his thing on them... especially as bees are very hard to capture as they are such busy little buggers. Well done!!! The doggy photos are to die for... especially the "out-take" one... how gorgeous is that photo? I wish I'd taken that one too... Like I said before... you definitely already have an "eye" for taking a really nice photo... so you are a LONG way there already, OK? My "method" of photography is to point the camera in the direction of something I find interesting and push the magic clicky button lots of times. Odds are that if I find it interesting, so will other people, yes? Also the odds of getting the photos I'm happy with increase with the number of photos I take of said subject... *grin* I'm really lazy when it comes to editing too... it bores me to tears really... so lots of practice at pointing the camera at what I find intersting and taking lots of photos usually means I'll get a few that I'm happy with that don't need any editing... and the strike rate of how many photos I'm happy with also increases with the amount of times I get out there and do it. Funnily enough, the only thing that gets me out of bed most weekends is the fact that I am going out with my camera to my fave places and taking photos of my fave subjects (in my case that is zoo animals). Add to that the fact that I've met a few awesome new friends with the same interest, life just gets better and better... T.

Awww... how cute is that? A slumber party for Zena... T. -
MW, if you go on Easter Saturday, you'll find me at the dogs - especially when the Weims are showing. I'll be taking pics of my friend's 2 while they are shown, and most likely be cuddling with them before and after... *grin* T.

My youngest is only part Dane, and she is a terrible counter surfer... luckily I can still put most things at the back of the counters where she can't reach... but a full sized Dane will be a different story... errr! T.

How about the link to YOUR video perse... skyefool might like that one too... T.

A lovely DOLer (sas) sent me this link a while back regarding all things Great Dane... and I reckon you'll find it an awsome resource for answers to all of your questions... http://www.greatdanerescue.com.au/downloads.htm Enjoy! T.

It's all about practice skyefool... and you are a long way there already because you have a pretty good eye for a nice photo - that first Gecko one is awesome! (in the "I wish I'd taken that" category even) I found that going out with my camera (when I was actually in the full throes of suicidal depression) last year really helped me start to take more notice of all the beauty that actually surrounds us if we just take a little time to see it... Funnily enough, I reckon I take my best photos when I'm not feeling the best mentally... somehow the "damaged" part of me seems to be the most creative and gives me a different "eye" or perspective on what I'm looking at, and turns it into something I can smile about. Apart from loving her to death by the time she was ready for adoption, there were other reasons I adopted Pickles myself... namely I wasn't too sure about the type of people who would deliberately seek out a disabled pup to adopt. Once the novelty factor wears off, you still have a disabled dog you have to live with for however long... Pickles fits in here just like every other member of the family, and we don't notice the disaility all that much as we have lived with it for 3 years now - but she gets a lot of stares when out and about doing her "interesting" walk... *grin* T.

Caz - is there any way someone could get this lady and her dog to either Kogarah or Belmore Vet clinics on a week day? I'm sure if you rang and spoke to Dr Ben Acheson and explained the situation, he'd give the best price around within cooee of the CBD.. http://www.belmorevet.com.au/ - Ben is there on Mondays. http://www.kogarahvet.com/ - Tuesday-Friday If you do chat to him, tell him I said g'day and Trouble the Labrador sends him big licks... This is what my Aunt had at her place last December... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=680118122008665&set=a.324771320876682.74301.100000314490871&type=1&relevant_count=1 ... and when my cousin got there it was just finishing the possum off... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151751731240951 That possum was a lot bigger than a Chi/Malt cross... and my aunt is in suburban Sydney! So glad to hear that Tess is trialling some pain meds... hopefully they will kick in quickly and she'll be her old self for a while longer yet. T.

Hoping all has gone well and we have positive news that Tess only needs a bit of medication help to get her over the current slump. Hugs at you MadWoofter. T.

I think you may find that the pups have now been fully assessed and both have now gone to the Bridge. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/255850-blind-puppy/page__view__findpost__p__6440234 My heart goes out to Bonnie... she has done all she could, and it just isn't fair. T.

Put a drop or two of peppermint oil on the collar - allow it to dry before putting the collar on the dog. Take for a drive, see if it works for you... T.
-
Thinking of you and Tess today MadWoofter... fingers crossed that some meds can make her feel a bit better for a while longer... T.

I feed my 4 kibble once a day... and it's a cheaper brand at that. My vet reckons whatever the dogs do well on is the "right" diet for them. T.
