I used to have a desexed female who would get more "randy" than any male when my entire bitch would come into season... I'm sure she was just trying to show my boy what was expected of him... errr! T.

What Food Can Your Dog Not Resist?

Might be worth asking the vet if there are any other reflux medications you can give Danny - ranitidine is really only a short term fix from my own experience. Nexium (esomeprazole) or Somac (pantoprazole) are more effective in humans than Ranitidine - are there any small animal equivalents? Will he drink milk? I know that it gives me short term relief from acid if I've forgotten to take my Somac that day... maybe the low lactose pet milk for Danny may help a little if he's feeling yukky - it will also sooth his sore throat. Maybe warmed pet milk with some manuka honey mixed through to sweeten might tempt him? T. -
Is Neko desexed, or is there the possibility of her being a mummy herself in the future? Wonder if she'd throw some tan? T.

Oh Jed... my heart goes out to you reading all of this... it must be so hard for you. Thinking of you right now with a few tears of my own for what all this brings back to mind. I hope you are hanging in there OK, and not dwelling on some of the posts speculating on what happened. Not many here can really know how it feels to lose their beloved pets in this manner. Stay strong my friend. T.

This must bring back all sorts of horror for you Jed... hugs my friend... T.

2 stunning parents... little Neko was destined to be gorgeous, yes? Wonder where the tan for the boys came from? T.

Have you tried tinned cat food DDD? We used to stock them at the rescue to tempt finnicky eaters... T. -
Hahaha! Spot the ring-in! T.

Gentle massage to ease the tense muscles? Anti-inflams to ease the inflammation? Can the chiro maybe just feel for any irregularities, and then you can go from there with any scans (hopefully just an x-ray) ordered by the chiro? Is there any way you can get a more expensive scan (if needed) on some sort of payment plan... your vet should be able to vouch for your payment of bills promptly. T.

I'm Confused - $50 Adoption Scheme
tdierikx replied to Loreley's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Cost price for a C3 vial is around $25. Cost price for one microchip is around $5. There's $30 already... and no vet I know will desex anything for $20. I'm thinking that anyone who takes up this "generous" offer is going to be stung... T. -
Owwie!! Poor little baby girl! When Harper got stung by a bee, she had a bad allergic reaction - within 30 mins her face looked like a Shar Pei, and she started coming out in hives all over. The vet said next time will be worse. And the stinger wasn't still stuck in her either! After the super dooper antihistamine shot from the vet, it still took 7 hours for her face to start looking normal again. T.

Is he having any issues with how solid his food may be? Can you puree it to make it easier for him to slurp down? Could it be portion sizes even? Maybe try him on much smaller snacks throughout the day rather than set meal times like the others? I have a food processor here that is just collecting dust stored out the back - if you'd like to try the puree option... happy to donate it to the "trying to get Danny to eat" cause. T. -

He's going to be a right stunner, that's for sure... and we are going to need photos of him regularly until he goes to his new home, OK? T.
