I took full length and portrait shots of all the models... but I liked the portrait shots best, so that's what I've uploaded... *grin* The lighting is surprisngly good for taking photos of most of them too, which is a bonus. VM - the first time I went to Madame Tussauds, I really thought I was going to be creeped out in a big way, but surprisingly I wasn't fazed at all. I may get creeped out if there were some of the scary ones like they have in London though... T.

Excellent news! If it helps, I just wormed my lot last weekend because I saw a tapeworm in Zeddy's poop... T.

It's not as creepy as you would think either kirislin... *grin* T.

Being a lady of leisure between TAFE days, I decided to break the boredom the other day by going down to Darling Harbour and visiting a few of the attractions... here are some snaps from Madame Tussauds... More here... T.

The Purina selector told me there weren't any breeds for me... none, zilch, nada, zip... lol! That's fine though, I have 4 mutts here that might disagree with the selector... T.

Still a stunning photo kirislin... they are so gorgeous! T.

Just a tip about supermarket meat... if there has been any issues with refrigeration, they will mark in-date meat down for quick sale... usually fine for dogs, but I wouldn't eat it... T.

Also remember that Stevie had that lump happening when the bloods were taken... could be related to that... possibly why it hadn't resolved of it's own accord. T.

Can't wait to see what we learn about diet in my TAFE course... T.

I'm willing to lay odds on it not being heartworm... and Stevie is an amazingly healthy specimen, so if the worst happens to be, then she will be a prime candidate for doing just fine with the treatment, OK? The only advice I can reliably give you right now is to stop panicking until you have the test results to confirm or rule out this particular nasty. I know we have plenty of mozzies around here, but I've never actually seen them on any of my dogs... seems they prefer my sweet blood instead... grrr! You'd have to be pretty unlucky for Stevie to have had a mozzie get through all that fur to infect her on the one month you may have missed with the preventative IMHO. T.

I'd be thinking that some (maybe quite a few) Poodle breeders might be a little leery of an unknown person wanting a mains registered bitch with a view to breeding. And with the high incidence of poodle crosses out in the market, one can probably understand why they may be a bit precious about supplying same, yes? If you are really wanting to become a registered Poodle breeder, maybe doing some groundwork might be in order... go to some shows, get to know breeders/exhibitors personally, make yourself known to them... then maybe someone will want to mentor you into the world of breeding top quality poodles. It's not as simple as getting a prefix and a couple of mains registered dogs and putting them together... it's going to take a fair bit of effort on your part long before you even look at getting to that point. T.

I've got a huge colony of the smaller (but no less bitey) black ants under my backyard paths... must be an enormous colony under there because the path is cracked and mangled... *grin* They tend to come to the surface before it rains and other odd times... not much fun when you step in a horde of the bitey little buggers! T.

The ones with wings will go off to start their own colony apparently... T.

I so want to get one of the 30" ones for the tigers at Symbio - in red... their fave colour is red apparently... *grin* Either that or a red plastic 40 gallon drum would do just as well methinks... just where the hell would I get one? T.

Worming and vaccs in one hit can give them the runs... if she's otherwise happy and eating/drinking fine, just feed boiled chicken and rice for a few days, then wean back onto her regular food. Some of the wormers out there can be a little hard on the tummy... T.

Pour Coca Cola on the stain - leave for a while, then wash off... Coke can get oil out of most hard surfaces. You might end up with a super clean spot though... lol! Alternate thing to try is degreaser... a carpet cleaner friend of mine swore by the stuff... he used to mix some in with his steam cleaning fluids (after checking that the carpet wasn't plastic fibre based). Worked to get out dog birthing stains out of one rental I lived at... in fact the real estate agent said that the carpet was cleaner when I left than when I'd moved in... hehe! T.

Trouble my Lab will be 9 in 9 days time... still has those crazy lab moments at regular intervals... that's the joy of living with a Labrador... lol! T.
