  1. It is fascinating to watch other primates rearing their young... so like us in so many ways... T.
  2. Thanks perse... he is at the stage where everything goes into his mouth... with varying levels of success... lol! Patiently waiting for this girl to "lose" some of that extra weight... *hint hint* I'm seeing some fun times in the next 12 months for Taronga's primate keepers... 3 baby chimps hitting the independent stages, and hopefully a couple of gorilla babies not that far behind them... *grin* T.
  3. My Lab girl is of the smaller type... she's around 25kgs and lean. 9 years old and can still happily run around all day playing... T.
  4. Some recent baby primate photos... Mjukuu Fumo and Sudi... Sudi... Fumo... Liwali... Sudi... Fumo and Liwali... T.
  5. Labrador or Rottweiler from reputable breeder... both will make sturdy companions and aren't known to be yappy... *grin* T.
  6. Can't really see either animal in there... I DO see purebred ugly though... errr! T.
  7. The desexing request is not because the breeder doesn't want competition... T.
  8. I worked 12 hour rotating shift rosters when my 2 oldest dogs were pups... and they are the most stable tempered of my 4. The other 2 are more fussy when it comes to routine, but I'm not completely rigid with my routines nowadays, and they are getting over it... *grin* Plenty of quality time when you ARE there is much more important... and socialisation is a big must! My older girls went to the ice rink with me on Friday/Saturday late night sessions, and got to run about on the ice after the session was finished... everyone loved throwing a puck for them, even the rink staff (who would have them in the office while I skated). T.
  9. Watch for too much as well as too little water consumption... T.
  10. Sounds like a copy of my old Zeddy... never could fight to save her life, but feisty as they come... even now when she's as unstable as all getout on those 15 year old hind legs... *sigh* T.
  11. Yes... she did grow a bit, didn't she? That's why she's referred to as the Horse Puppy... lol! Apparently they all grew quite tall - even the little runty girl we had to take away from mum at 3 weeks to get her back on track in the growth department - but Harper ended up the tallest of them all... She did have the longest legs of the litter all along, and she now has gorgeous Elle McPherson long lanky pins... no doubting the Dane in those legs! T.
  12. ... and those "declared" standards are? Fluff piece short on facts and long on emotive text... grrr! T.
  13. Here is Pickles as a puppy... T.
  14. Harper's ears look like this now... *sigh* T.
  15. Harper at 1 week - on right... At 3 weeks... 4 weeks... 5 weeks... 6 weeks... 8 weeks... ... and at 5 months with her brothr Rex... T.
  16. Billinudgel Vet? Shorter drive than the Gold Coast... Give them a call and ask if they have someone who can reset a Lab's dislocated elbow. T.
  17. How is it possible for Neko to just keep getting prettier... I'm in love!!! T.
  18. If you are concerned enough about his dicomfort to post here... please take him to the vet... tell them exactly how many grapes he's had... T.
  19. Blissfully unaware of his own mortality... *grin* T.
  20. If the law says you have to take her to the pound, then take her to the pound... and if you want to keep her, put in an application to adopt her at the same time you drop her off. If an owner doesn't come forward, then she can legally be yours, and they will desex her for you as well. T.
  21. ... and he's a stunner in the looks department also! T.
  22. The little fighters really grab your heart, don't they? Lucky Comet... *grin* T.
