Sounds like an eventful day... errr! Upside is that there is nothing markedly wrong with Jonah... and the unpaid holiday will give you more time to spend with him... *grin* T. -

All urban myths have some basis in fact... *sigh* I'd tip that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of these sort of sites scattered in bush all over the country... and not only with greyhounds in them... We humans can be a mongrel bunch sometimes... T.

Certificate Iv In Companion Animal Services

It's supposed to deter the "professional students"... meaning that if you have qualifications to get a job, you are expected to use them to try to do so... *sigh* I've run up against it myself when enrolling in TAFE to make a career change... had to pay a lot more for my Cert 2 course because, even though I'd been made redundant, Centrelink would not put me on their books until a month after the course started - meaning I had to pay a higher fee to enrol... and they will not refund me any of the money now that I AM officially unemployed in their eyes. Then again, when I come to enrol in the Cert 3 course I need to do to complete the basics required for the career I now want, I'll be paying the MUCH cheaper rate for it... *grin*... but only if I do it through TAFE... TAFE operates under the new "Smart and Skilled" system for their fees - which basically means that if you have a previous qualification equivalent to a Cert 3 or above (in ANY field), you will pay considerably more for any course you wish to do - regardless if that previous qualification is now obsolete or not... *sigh* If you are employed or not on any Government based pension, you will also pay more for any course you wish to do. Most of the private providers of courses that are the same as the TAFE ones are also covered by the Smart and Skilled syatem, but they can choose not to take on students that can't afford the maximum fee... they call it a "selection process due to popularity" of the said course, which basically means that you have buckley's of getting into their course if you can't pay the higher fee. Chalk it up to experience now perse... now you know that Don is sensitive to drunk and obnoxious people, and you can help him avoid those situations in the future. Did you give him my smoochies? T.
-
Dogs are so much smarter than most people... *sigh* I would have told the drunk to stay the eff away from my dog, and be darned with the consequences. Please give Don an extra smooch from me, OK? T.

It is not illegal to not vaccinate or worm your dogs... if they are otherwise healthy. It is illegal to rehome a pup that is not microchipped, but I've not seen that one enforced across the board - one just needs to look at the number of animals that end up in the pounds without chips to know that there are MANY people rehoming without chipping first... and new owners not actually bothering to do it either. The pup was rehomed to what appeared to be a decent home (at the time) with full disclosure of his issues... so who's really at fault here... the breeder, or the new owner who offloaded him to someone else when they realised that they couldn't deal with the issues any more? T.

Awww... little dog and little human... too cute! T.

See now, if the pet shop concerned passed on those expenses to the "breeder" that supplied the pup... maybe that would have an even greater effect. The shop should have the details of where the faulty pup was sourced from, yes? T.
