I ended up redirecting my passion for animals to taking photos of zoo animals... and am now also studying to be a zookeeper. I think I've finally found what I want to do when I grow up... *grin* Mind you, I learned a hell of a lot, and got a wealth of hands on experience that will help me with my new career choice to no end. The biggest thing I learned about myself during my years in rescue is that I CAN handle the quality/quantity issue that occasionally arises. The biggest compliment I ever got was that I could be "dispassionate with compassion"... I didn't tell that person that I'd do my crying in private... for each and every soul I had to help to the Bridge. I won't say that I came out of the experience completely undamaged though. Much kudos to those who live and breathe rescue year after year... you are amazing people. T.

Hahaha! Pickles does that to Zeddy here... and Zeddy doesn't even wake up... lol! T.

I'm not ashamed to say there is a reason for me only lasting 7 years in rescue... I got out when I realised that "doing good" isn't always good for one... I'm still plenty happy to support those tireless souls who are out there day after day getting the job done right though... T.

Pickles decided to have a hurl on my bed last night... but it was too cold to get my sorry butt out of bed to do anything about it... I let her clean it up herself, and there's no mess this morning... *grin* T.

Harper gives no warning, and it will usually be after she's gorged herself on poo to boot! Nothing quite beats poo-vomit for stink! T.

Is Mac's wobbliness due to arthritis? My old girl Zeddy does pretty well on a nightly dose of Meloxicam during cold or damp times... it really seems to help with the early morning wobbles before she warms up. T.

I'd say that if the questions you have posed are of a real worry to you, then maybe you aren't actually ready for a second dog at this point in time... T.

My old girl Zeddy loves her jackets, but Pickles has other ideas about dogs being clothed... and eats them off poor Zeddy's back! T.

Any of the Canon or Nikon entry level cameras should do... kit lenses are fine for most purposes, but I'd try for a single more all purpose range lens, like 18-200mm or thereabouts.
