I switched my pups onto high quality junior kibble at around 12-14 weeks... the puppy formulas started to give them the squirts at the larger portions required for their weights. Royal Canin Junior was the kibble of choice here, and it worked well for us. T.

I used Canex puppy syrup for the rescue fosters... worked a treat... T.

It's funny how the little "darlings" will always behave beautifully for a stranger, isn't it? Harper is a complete mess when it comes to doing anything she hasn't done before, or meeting new people... but as soon as the head trainer at the local training group goes near her, she decides to make a liar of me and behave beautifully... anything to please this one person... *sigh* T.

It's been 11 years this month since I lost my beloved Woosie... and you have pinpointed exactly what it feels like... still... Big hugs to you Rayhay... T.

My recently departed old girl was a shocker as a pup... everything had to go in her mouth and be tested. What I did to stop her was to "bite" back... when she bit down, I'd pinch her ear or lip in semblance of a bite, and loudly growl "aarrgghh!" or "uuhhh!" as I did it. She learned really quickly that there were consequences for her biting that weren't overly pleasant, and she stopped doing it. T.

Ummm... pretty much anything Trouble the Lab has swallowed has come out the other end just fine... *grin*... including gravel from the stones she used to chew as a youngster... ... and you should see the things that manage to pass through the Spastic Camp Dog!!! Poo patrol is an adventure here... *giggle* T.

I think you can fight this one... as the bits you have been quoted relate to per policy period - which to pretty much every sane person in this universe is 12 months, yes? If her last obstruction surgery/endoscope procedure for that problem was in 2009, then I'd be questioning what THEY are calling a"policy period". What was she covered under for the 2009 incident? Precedent claim if you only had accident cover then too. T.

I had a totally deaf foster pup once... hard work unlearning all of the things we think we know about getting their attention... lol! Zeddy was starting to go a bit deaf before she passed... I think it was some tone/pitch issue though, as she could still hear the food bucket opening from the other end of the house. She was also a bit night blind, but could see fine during the day. Not too shabby for a girl who reached the grand old age of 15 and 11 months. T.

Those eyes! Nothing but love for his human... He's an awesome little dog perse. T.

I think a few weeks of them running amok and cleaning up of poopies might help you let go of a few... lol! Jolie will love you for it too... she doesn't want to keep them all... hehe! T.

I had many foster pups that would go through stages of eating like a horse, and then not overly hungry at all... what I noticed was that these cycles coincided with growth spurts... could be something to consider. Keep feeding the same food and see if the appetite returns in a few days... Also, if you are feeding with kibble, use some of that as training treats instead of other things. Measure out the daily requirement of food, then take from that for training treats, and feed the rest in regular meals throughout the day. Filling pup up on snacks won't be helping the appetite for regular food. T.

No-one here is going to tell you which lennels to stay away from - as that can get back to the owners and the get narky about that sort of thing. Take note of the recommended kennels, and you should be right, OK? T.

How about you grumble at Archie when he's being a turd and ticking poor Bennie off then? If Bennie is just minding his own business and trying to have a little bit of alone time, it's up to you to let him have his space, yes? They will both love you for it... *grin* T.
